Most have gone through eBay/Half.com. Saving a few that haven't come out yet (Quick Change; Star Wars, Zero Hour).

Selling the others in bulk through lots on eBay, and taking what I can get for them.

Sold mine on eBay in one big lot (minus a handful of select titles).

I keep the ones that I don't have on DVD yet. The ones I do have on DVD I give to my brother who doesn't have a DVD player.

I sold a lot on eBay--mostly the Asian films. Went to SecondSpin.com and sold them three boxes worth over the last 6 months or so. Anything that Second Spin was offering less than $2 for, I took to a local used bookstore that also deals in VHS and DVD. Got $33 in store credit for about 15 tapes. That will get me 2 or 3 DVDs or a handful of books.

I still have a lot left, as I tend to wait until I get the DVD before getting rid of the VHS.

I gave most all my VHS away. I will always keep my Doctor Who collection though as I still buy the VHS versions to complete my collection..

I donated mine to a local hospital a few years ago. I figured they'd all be making the jump to DVD eventually and I've been replacing them ever since.

Dumpster. Except for Star Wars OT widescreen edition, a couple of movies taped off of HBO, and full set of Northern Exposure episodes.

I only bought 5 because I recognized the inferior quality, plus I am only 22, I remember watching my copy of jurrassic park so many times that I pretty much wore it out, so I figured what is the point of buying anymore if they wear out, plus I was raised in a family that didn't buy movies ever

I never had many VHS tapes... I probably have about 50 blanks with TV shows, movies, etc. recorded on them, and maybe 15-25 pre-recorded tapes, many of which I have picked up recently for very cheap (obscure animated TV shows, etc.) I got my laserdisc player back in 1990, and picked up over 300 titles on it, so I never wanted to mess with VHS.

I just record over them, such as music videos, TV shows, etc.

If the tape is really bad, I take it apart and recycle what I can. The tape itself gets thrown away.

I usually keep the tape until I get the film on DVD then I do one of the above.

I took all 75 of them and sold them all 2 my coworkers(they're still in the dark ages) for $2 a piece. They jumped at them. I probably could have got $3 but I just wanted to get rid of the eye sore as they were just collecting dust.

Exception: Star War OT and all of my Warren Miller Ski Tapes

I only have a handful of video tapes, most of which I have already replaced on DVD, the only tapes I probably wont get rid of is my Zombie tape, my copy of The Hills Have Eyes on VHS, and my Dawn of the Dead tape. The rest 15+ or so I have no idea what to do with.

Gave nearly all of them away to charity.

I keep VHS only for titles I yet to get on DVD (West Side Story: LBX, Napoleon, many silent films, etc).

I sold a big chunk of them to a used CD/DVD place, but that was a year + ago, so they may not take them any more.

I also gave a big chunk of them to charity and took the tax write-off. That's probably what I'll do with the ones I have left.

I'm keeping those are not on DVD, even though my VCR broke down 2-3 years ago, and I haven't bothered to get a new one.

I just give them away at work. Not worth the trouble to sell them. I've probably given away about 50 so far.
