Has anyone heard any word on SUBSPECIES coming to DVD?

I have never seen this or the movies that followed other than 'VAMPIRE JOURNAL' which is on DVD. I heard they are quite good, campy, but good. Are they owned by a different studio which is why all of them were not put out together. I believe there are 3 Subspecies movies and Journal is the 4th. The VHS are always on ebay at inflated prices.

Wow, I remember watching the Subspecies movies on HBO years ago. As far as I know the first one was released on a VCD (looked pretty bad) and even had a dvd release, but looks like it went out of print. The 2nd and 3rd haven't been put on dvd. Amazon.com is selling the used vhs tapes of the first three, but at prices like $29.99 you might as well wait for it to come to dvd. You never know, it might make it

Oh, and you are correct about the studios. Paramount owns the first three while Full Moon has the 4th.

No, there are four SUBSPECIES movies and VAMPIRE JOURNALS is a standalone film that has some common characters.

SUBSPECIES 4 was released on DVD by Full Moon as was VAMPIRE JOURNALS. The first one did come out early on DVD also I think. Some of the others may be out in other regions.

I think the rights to the Full Moon films -- Subspecies, Puppet Master, etc. -- are in some kind of limbo at the moment, so we probably won't see them for a while.

Some of the subspecies movies were on dvd (most not region 1 and out of print now)

Right now only subspecies 4 and vampire journals is in region 1 dvd format.

the other versions can be seen on this page.

The only one that hasn't had any type of release is part 3.

Hope this helps you
