Will this years Super Bowl DVD be censored?

I'm sorry guys I couldn't resist. I can't believe this went all day without someone starting this thread here. I really don't care, but I thought it was funny.

So, will it include Janet's right asset?

It was still covered up by that nipple cover thing, so I don't see what would be censored. It's no worse than the outfit Lil Kim wore at the MTV awards that one year.

Usually the Super Bowl DVDs don't include the half-time shows.

The Superbowl XXXVI DVD when the Pats beat the Rams included the half time show with U2.

No it won't be censored. However, it will be renamed the Booby Bowl.

Since MTV produced it, they might not include it since they would have to pay MTV some money. And considering they would probably edit out the tit, they get just leave out the half-time to avoid the whole issue.

Actually it wasn't. That was just a piercing. Check out the pics in the thread in the mature forum.

The key word being the MTV awards. This was not MTV, this was primetime network television. It is/was the largest TV audience of the year, and the NFL markets itself as 'family' entertainment.

Perhaps they'll offer a regular version & a director's cut (unrated extended party edition with added boobage).

We were debating this at work today. I very much disagree with you. I don't believe the program was rated TV-GA (or general audiences) they said about 1000 times that it was an MTV show. Any parent who was really concerned that their child may have developed the telescopic vision required to see the "dirty" area of the breast should have kept them away. Janet Jackson is a sexual person and there is no way what happened should not have been expected. APPROPRIATE FOR THE OCCASION is another argument altogether, but in response to your comment, the fault lies with parents, not the NFL or CBS.

However, you can bet next year's show will be much more tame. I can picture Tony Bennett and Wayne Newton. Tiny Bubbles Under the Moon could be the theme

I will take Tony Bennet over MTV any day (or SuperBowl) of the week.

To answer the original question:

A newscast I was watching the other day stated that the DVD being planned would NOT contain the halftime show, and that it was previously planned to not be included in any case.

So, that's that.

Oh, wait, I guess MTV had nothing to do with his Album of the Year Grammy for "Unplugged."

As for the DVD, I'd rather not have DVD storage space and precious minutes of my time wasted by the lip-synched, disorienting mess of a halftime show. U2 should perform yearly. Or the Stones. "Midnight Rambler" would be brilliant at the game.

ok now, the superbowl half-time entertainers include Nelly, P.Diddy, Kid Rock...now they aren't exactly G rated rappers, if you're a parent and you don't want your kids listening or watching them you should of done your homework and avoided the halftime show altogether. come on, nelly's song, its getting hot in herre so take off all your clothes, j timberlake, gonna have you naked by the end of this song...
