I liked all three, personally. If they'd been released separately I'd have gotten Raiders and Last Crusade for sure, and maybe/maybe not Temple of Doom (though now that I've re-watched it, I did enjoy it more than I expected), so for me the boxed set was a great deal.

Didn't buy the set. I liked the first one, didn't like the second one, and can't remember whether I even saw the third one. The fourth disk sounded kind of thin in terms of documentary footage and extras.
I would have considered buying a 2-disc version of Raiders if it had been extensive.

I am happy with the boxed set. I like all three (in order from fav to least would be LC, ROTLA, TOD).

if they had been offered seperatly to begin with, i would have just picked up Raiders.
but i got the boxset and after watching most of it i have to say
YOU DID THE RIGHT THING
the sequels are like steaming piles of crap with glittering diamonds sprinkled amongst the corn kernels.
since i had the films i was actually looking forward to giving them a fresh re-evaluation, especially now since i have a somewhat dedicated room to enjoy movies in.
very disappointed.
i experience synaptic dysfunction when i see people talking about the Indy films and the Star Wars films and they only have praise for every single installment as if they were all made with the same degree of sophistication and craft and intelligence.
they weren't.
they have the same character(s) and are set in the same millieu- otherwise they vary wildly in terms of wit, intelligence, etc...
and the bonus disc was nothing special after all.
I still enjoy Raiders.
one of SS's top three films.
but the set was one of the most underwhelming dvd productions yet.

You should have bought the box set, kept Raiders, and sold the others.

Here's ebay's street value on the set so I wouldn't have exactly been rakin' or anything.
$20-25 Raiders of the Lost Ark
$15 Last Crusade
$10 Temple of Doom
$5 Bonus Disc
The Best Buy Bonus 5th Disc is worth quite abit though.

In theory, you could've bought it at best buy, kept raiders, and sold the rest for a profit.

This will definitely ruffle some feathers, but here goes.
I have never--and will never rent or purchase a Spielberg/Lucas DVD.
There should have been no reason for the Raiders trilogy to have taken this long to be released on DVD. And when they finally surfaced, the 5.1 soundtrack wasn't all that (suffered through all three movies after borrowing brother's set).
Anyway, Spielberg & Lucas missed their calling.
In conclusion: I'm glad there are people like Peter Jackson and trilogies like LOTR to show the arrogant ones the way it should be done. If they really cared for the fans, they should have set aside their egos looooong ago.
Let the flaming begin...

If I wasn't so anal about keeping these sets complete, I'd consider tossing my copy of Raiders up on Ebay. Of the three, that's the one I have no desire to ever watch again.
Needless to say, my vote was for D.

A few haters here -I guess they interpet it as such a "Me" thread.Well,I felt this thread was just trying to focus on Indy's Standalone trilogy release and how everyone felt about it.
I guess most were indeed happy with just the standalone release here and for those that didn't care...well-why did you care enuff to pad your post whereas that's the comment I'd least cared about.
