Anyone ever try ironing your coverart inserts?

Anyone? My buddy told me to told do this.

Put some cloth on top of the insert, turn the iron to its lowest setting, then go over it a few times to straighten it up. You have to put the insert on something solid like a chopping board or something.

Does this really work?

heh ive never tried that. I just put mine under a few heavy books for a day or two - easy enough.

What's your point?? Why would I need to iron them for?? Am I taking them out of the DVD Case and hanging them on the wall or something??

One time I had a plant on the top shelf of my DVD rack, and my son - three years old at the time - decided to water it. Well, a lot of my cases got wet, so I removed the cover art and ironed it. It worked pretty well. Some were more wet than others, and many of those had small bubbles and wrinkles even after ironing them, but for the most part ironing the cover art fixed the problem.

So yeah, there are times when you just need to iron your cover art.

a few days under some heavy books should do the trick. there should be enough humidity in the air to help this along. i did this for one of my criterions awhile back, and had forgotten all about it. when i went to clean up the stack of books about six months later, i found the insert all nice and flat. i gave myself a homer "doh!"
