I don't remember if I had problems with this disc, but I've had some before that had glitches when played on the Xbox that played fine on my DVD player.

Basically, your Family Guy DVD's are fine. The X-Box is a sub-standard DVD player (along with the PS2) and commonly has problems playing some DVD's.

My PS2 is picky about what it will play also.
Just the nature of the beast. IMO

You need to ask yourself where you will watch that DVD more: On a stand alone DVD player or on your XBOX? If the latter, return / exchange it but be forewarned that you may have the same problem reoccur.

The XBOX is quite finicky and has been since its inception.

Its my brothers and he just got a dvd player for X-MAS so it will be more watched on the X-BOX My main concern is if the disc is defective and if it would cause problems down the lane, but if it is a common occurence with the X-BOX which I do understand is not really a good Player then its not really a big deal.

There are a ton of titles with compatability issues with the Xbox and PS2. Check it out at IGN. They used to keep a running list of problematic titles if your ownly dvd player is a game system.

I just personally feel that anybody who expects a PS2 or an XBOX to be a good standard DVD player for their home, is just really asking for whatever problems they get.

Agreed. Same for sub $100 dvd players. In this area I do believe in you get what you pay for.

I do too I have a Toshiba SD-3900 which I got for like 60 bucks but works terrific for me and a Panasonic E80 Player/Recorder, its just that my little brother uses the ps2 and box more rather then a real dvd player since he plays all those games.

I bought a $40 Mintek for my extra room and have had no problems at all. I completely disagree with an earlier post saying the XBOX was a substandard DVD player. I haven't had any problems with it at all, while the PS2 seems to have all sorts of issues. Just look at that IGN list.
