Great! I'll finally get to see it. All the time while watching The Stunt Man, I kept thinking "wow, Steve Railsback looks a lot like Charles Manson". I didn't know he once PLAYED him.

Someone tell danol! He was really looking forward to this.

Cool. The only way I've been able to watch it for the longest time is with a crappy VHS copy, so I'll happily pick this up.

He doesn't just look like him, he *IS* Manson.

When I saw this on tv when it was first shown, I was just astounded. One of the most incredibly accurate portrayals I've ever seen.

Jeremy Davies is playing Manson in the "Helter" remake. I've noted that comic actor Bruno Kirby is playing prosecutor Vincent T. Bugliosi. I like Bruno.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0383393/

The original 1976 two-part movie is outstanding (IMO). Very intense at times (and creepy indeed, with a great music score, emphasizing the eerie atmosphere).

I think he'll be great. He was outstanding in Solaris.

I picked up my copy last night, but I doubt I'll get to watch it anytime soon. It's a great movie, but it's long. These days I barely have enough time to watch a 90 minute movie, let alone a 184 minute movie.

does it have any of the R rated material that was on the old Vhs copy (they used a international R rated theatrical cut with 4 letter words).
