I wonder if

The block Logo will be censored

The word “WWF” will be censored

If anything else was censored to achieve a these ratings

At least some region is getting it.

I might consider importing it, but I might hold out since my budget is tight, and since I have Wrestlemania 1 on LD.

Hopefully a Region 1 release will happen sometime this year.

They released LDs? Wow didn't know that. What other WWF stuff is available on LD? These would be nice DVD transfers (they're uncensored)

Hey all , the WWE can show the old WWF logo until the attitude logo (years 98-2002) , Anyway there is more deatiles about the monday night war dvd , it will feature a movie that recaps it and will feature 4 matches 2 from raw , 2 from nitro :

Two matches from RAW :

- Stone Cold Steve Austin & Shawn Michaels vs. British Bulldog & Owen Hart
- Shawn Michaels & Triple H vs. Legion of Doom

Two matches from NITRO:

- Chris Benoit vs. Booker T
- Goldberg vs. Hulk Hogan

Here is the link to the info and the cover art :

http://www.silvervision.co.uk/cgi-bi...View/PRWWE1092

I really hope for more matches to be on the dvd they could easialy do a 3 dvd set which awsome matches from both brands.

Anyway if somone got more info that would be great and so is about the Foley upcoming dvd , my questions is if the matches that are shown are all full length.

Thanks.

Region free player. You can find one for about $60 these days, I think.

Look at it like this. When was the last time the WWE has done R2 only releases? To my knowledge, they have never yet so why start now especially seeing that the WWE's biggest market is probably in America. If you ask me I'd expect a release sometime this year in R1.

Most people here are dreaming of a WM 1-20 box set. Though we'll see how well this one goes through, especially considering

a) Vince's general hatred to releasing past PPVs

and b) the WWF scratch logo in 14-18 (14 was never released on DVD)

14 wasn't really too bad if I recall. The turnbuckles still had the old logo.

IMO, I don't want a box set because of the price it would cost. I'd prefer a double-feature sort of thing.

It seems to me that the WWE should challenge the ruling about the WWF name. I think that if the court ruled that the WWF can no longer use that acronym that Vince and co. must live with it and they have. HOWEVER, I don't think that the WWE should be restricted in releasing their past footage with a WWF logo on it. They are losing hundreds of millions of dollars with this restriction.

I think that the WWE has been diligent about not using the old acronym, but applying this restriction to a 1984 release is a bit ridiculous, IMHO.

The funny thing is, the WWF block logo still stands in all past footage.

Someone will probably correct be but I thought Vince was allowed to use the "WWF" for a certain time in a deal with the Wildlife Foundation. He was supposed to stop using "WWF" as the name of the company sometime around the time they created the Scratch Logo. The Wildlife Foundation got pissy and told him to stop. He refused.

So when the Wildlife Foundation sued for them to stop with the "WWF" stuff (and won in the end), the WWE lost the rights to use "WWF" beyond the original agreement. Thus, legally, they can't show the scratch logo because that went beyond the original time limit. The Block Logo is A-OK.

Please correct me if I'm totally off base. That was the way I heard it.

Andrwe

yes

They can. But,

1) In general Vince doesn't like the past. Especially if it does nothing to promote the present

2) The WWF scratch logo would have to be censored (but the block logo is ok)

3) whenever someone would say "WWF" that would be censored regardless of what the logo is.

True, and these are the two things that absolutely puzzle me. I can understand that they should alter it on the packaging and maybe even in the corner of the screen, but if someone says WWF? That is absurd.

In the 2 disc Rock DVD there are promos what will never see the light of day because he says “WWF” so much. Better get this while you can.

They probably missed it. In the Flair DVD it is.
