They shoulda just went with one of those squares as the cover. This one makes it look like it's some kind of series of films on the dvd or something, kind of like showing 4 mini covers on the cover so to speak.

Cartload 01-10-04 02:44 PM

Bad cover art for a bad movie.

Snowmaker 01-10-04 03:46 PM

Maybe they are making 4 different covers and we can choose which one we want.

LivingINClip 01-10-04 03:59 PM

Well...Hmm.

I own the other three (counting AniMatrix as the third). I guess I will own this, if nothing else for the last fight scene.

God, I wish I would of never bought the first one!
:(

RyoHazuki 01-10-04 04:03 PM

I agree about the cover art comments. Thats really bad.

Philip Reuben 01-10-04 04:11 PM

I have mixed feelings about the cover. I like that they're using all four of the great posters - just one might look a little empty, a bad Photoshop job to put them all together would inevitably suck, and different art entirely would probably be just as disappointing. On the other hand, it seems weird for the cover to consist of four different pictures on boxes like this.

I think it'll grow on me.

Bad cover for a bad movie.

I think that might have more to do with one of them wearing dresses and taking female hormone injections and not trusting the press to stick to film-related questions if given an opportunity.

They did a decent commentary for "Bound."

Yes.

Well, doesn't lower my opinion of the Bro's. , I was just surprised . I had not heard about them. Either way, I could care less, a crap trilogy is a crap trilogy. Though I don't see why they can't do a commentary .

Bad art for a great movie

Yeah, I've got to agree that the cover art sucks a big one. One of the international posters had Trinity and Neo instead of Morpheus and Trinity. If they could have combined all three of them (Neo, Morpheus, and Trinity), in that style, that would make for some halfway decent cover art.

Just shift Neo and Trinity to the right and stick in Morpheus on the left.

Trinity reminds me of Gunkata

Well I would venture to say that every studio would benefit greatly in terms of quality, not to mention financially, by having a number of the people on these boards working for them.

After the box art for Reloaded, I can't say that I'm surprised by this monstrosity.

Tazwolff 01-11-04 01:31 AM

The cover art doesn't bother me at all, we can always print our own. As for a box, I already have one by Paul Champagne.

MasterofDVD 01-11-04 03:48 AM

Even if I don't like the cover art for a DVD I usually don't let it bother me too much but this one just begs for a custom cover from somebody here.

and I'm sure they are already hard at work on it. :D

I am pleased with the extras this time around. The second DVD on the last set was about as much of a waste and the second Bad Boys 2 DVD. I love extras but both those releases seemed to be fluff that probably could of been either forgotten or added on to the first disc.

QuiGonJosh 01-11-04 07:50 AM

I'm about 90% sure that their gonna change the cover art to either combine a few of the posters together or create seperate covers...

Mr. Cinema 01-11-04 08:38 AM

But the actual dvd itself is the most important thing and not the cover, right?

QuiGonJosh 01-11-04 10:37 AM

Oh for sure there...for sure...the DVD is the most important thing...

paul.n3w 01-11-04 02:00 PM

except when the cover is so bad it repulses buyers...

Good God, how do they keep getting worse and worse cover art?

Do people actually refuse to buy DVDs because of the cover art? That would be pushing this DVD collecting habit to complete insanity.

I would never walk into a Best Buy to pick up a movie I want, but refuse to purchase it because of what's on the case....
