DVDs with good post-production featurettes

A friend asked me to recommend to them a DVD that features comprehensive/informative featurettes on the post-production process. Showing the roles of the director, editors, composer, foley-artist etc.

The LOTR:EE DVDs seem to fit this criteria (looking at the inserts - I haven't had the time to view them) - are there any other better examples?

Thanks in advance.

You thinking of a career in post or just something that interest you?

I can give you some final cut pro and avid demo dvd's that show you some of the programs as well as some extra post house magazines if you would like.

As for films that have this material on the dvd itself. Well Attack of the clones has some pretty good post coverage in it's extra's.

Gotta' go with the old stand-by: Se7en. Lots of goodies on there...

Something that a layman can understand really.

Let me ask my friend and get back to you on the demo-DVD offer - see if that would work for him and make sure he can reimburse you for shipping.

The new Alien DVDs have good pre-production, production, and post-production docs and supplements - with interviews across the board (cast, crew, execs, etc).
