cABIn fever dvd with pic's

Well i got this 2 days ago and just watched it and can't really know if i like it or not. Did anyone catch this in the movies and what did you think about it. Plus not insert and does not say WS on the case at all. The dvd it self is pretty good haveing 3 movies on it one being the rated r and the other being chick vision and the last one is family friendy version. So if you seen the movie i would like to hear your imput.

What's the difference between each version of the movie?

onebyone 01-08-04 10:59 PM

I really liked this movie, it was my favorite horror movie of last year. I am very excited to pick this baby up as soon as possible.

Please tell us a little more about the disc if you don't mind. I would love to know the difference between each version of the movie as well.

Movie wasn't bad. I'm sure there was a discussion of it over in the Movie forum.

Interesting about the different versions. I seem to remember reading about this somewhere. Too bad there isn't a "non-redeeming gore-house" version :)

Ahwell... I'll be getting this.

Okay, this is the first of your early grabs that I'm offcially jealous of. :) Cabin Fever was one of my favorite movies from last year; such a fantastic blend of horror and humor, probably not done better since the Evil Dead days.

I'm feeling annoyed with Lions Gate after they touted rated and unrated versions being on the set (which, technically, there are, but that's a pretty lame way to go about it), but I can't complain too much. Have you listened to any of the commentary tracks? Dennis better be on one of them! :D

steebo777 01-09-04 07:49 AM

Yeah I'm interested to see what the "family friendly" version is. Please do tell issues. One of the best campy-horror movies I've ever seen, and is a definite buy for me.

Moefuscious 01-09-04 09:36 AM

What...no pics? You know what we all want to see. ;)

Yeah man, where are those sheets? :)

Mr. Cinema 01-09-04 10:31 AM

You have watched it and you don't know if you like it or not? That's really sad.

caiman 01-09-04 11:45 AM

I saw this in the theater, and my opinion has been mixed. So I've been iffy on whether or not to get this DVD. But hearing about the family friendly version has sealed the deal. Sounds interesting.

Pancakes!

(From now on, I think every Cabin Fever-related post should include the word "pancakes".)

So far the chick cut of the movie has less blood and gore. I'll check the family one right now.

My understanding is there are two versions being released but only difference is one has a slipcover as issues seems to have here. Both are listed seperately on DVD Pacific as below.

Checked DVD Empire and they seem to have only the regular case version listed? Can anyone confirm?

QuiGonJosh 01-11-04 10:45 AM

So the only difference between the reg case and the slipcover is just the cover? Its the same disc right?

ChrisHicks 01-11-04 12:16 PM

are only certain stores getting the slipcover cases?

steebo777 01-12-04 07:15 AM

Hopefully BB will have the slipcase version (I have to use those Christmas GCs somehow).
