American Wedding Unrated and Rated, which one?

Howdy All:

I hope your new years are starting out well.

I am looking for some help. I can not find a definative diference between the American Wedding rated and unrated versions? How many more minutes are we talking about? Does it help the story or is it all choppy and not fit well?

I would appreciate any thoughts.

Best regards, tony

The Unrated disk has an option on the root menu to play the Rated version as well - so I would say just go with that one

To quote some ppl in the Movie forum, there is the extended bachelor(sp?) scene with "copious amounts of boobage".

I believe there is also an additional scene in the unrated version where Stifler's hotel reservation was canceled and he swears up a storm at the hotel manager. I didn't remember it in the theatrical version and thought that based on what I watched in the behind the scenes stuff that it was added back in for the Unrated version.

more boobies  Makes up for the bad quality of the rest of the film.

I would always take an unrated version instead of the rated one.

See the problem is I bought it at Walmart and opened it without realizing it was the rated version. I suppose I could sell it on Ebay and then buy the Unrated one?? dunno.

Thanks for the insight.

Best regards, tony

My wife goofed and bought the rated version at Wal-Mart for me as an anniversary present. I'm taking it back and running out to Media Play for the unrated version. I figured I have the unrated version of the first 2 I should to that route this time as well.

fumanstan 01-05-04 05:03 PM

I dont see any reason NOT to buy the unrated versions.

aaryn 01-05-04 05:26 PM

Actually, I prefer the pic scene in the theatrical then the unrated. That's why i'm sticking to rated editions.

The only really funny difference I remember from the Unrated version is...

SPOILERS

When Officer Krystal has Finch dressed up like Frauline Brandi.

END SPOILERS

The unrated disc does have BOTH versions on it so it's a no-brainer (I always buy whatever version was shown in theaters)- the one with just the rated version was made for stores like Wal-Mart which won't carry NC-17 or unrated material, since they have caused so much downfall of our society (pick up your family-friendly movies and music with your guns and cigarettes!)

Matthew Chmiel 01-05-04 06:36 PM

The scene with Stiffler and Finch cursing up a storm to the hotel clerk and each other is worth the price of admission alone.

"How about this Stiffler? You grow a ----, fill it with some -----, magically sprout out a ----, and go ---- yourself up the --- with it." :)

As it's been said... Unrated. If you want to watch the rated it's on the same disc.

Rule # 1...NEVER go to Wal-Mart if a dvd is being released in rated & Unrated versions:)

Rule #2 tell WM(+ any other holier than thou moral dogooder morons) to %$^^ off & get the Unrated elsewhere. Who are they to tell us what is & is not acceptable? :)

Then enjoy the extra boobies & other expletives:)

I plan on just ordering this from DeepDiscount for $16. Since Target had a sham of a sale(was $15 for two days,is now $22! since it was released on Friday, not Tuesday).

I have not seen the film yet,but was surprised part 2 was enjoyable. So I hope 3 is just as good. May pick up the original sometime as well

Just take it back and say it's defective & get the unrated one as a replacement copy.

:), yep people here seem to protect them more than their family members. :)

Damn!! I had no idea there was an Unrated version, so my wife and I bought the rated version at --- you guessed it --- Wal Mart.

Oh well....guess I'll have to look elsewhere for gratuituous boobage.

Anyone prefered the rated pie fuccking scene in Pie 1 over the unrated table version?

Rypro 525 01-07-04 10:33 PM

I liked the pie fing in the rated version, but liked the other 5 seconds of the unrated version (seeing kevin blow his load in the beer bottle instead of having it implied, and also with more nadia.

Mopower 01-07-04 11:18 PM

They sell unrated versions at Wal-Mart. I bought American Pie II unrated there when it came out.
