How Do You Remove Movie Gallery's CD Covers?
I just picked up a bunch of DVDs at Movie Gallery. For some reason, they have a clear CD label cover on the disc, supposedly a protective sheet. Does anyone know a good way to remove these? Thanks!

Try boiling water which should loosen the sheet.
And no, I'm not kidding. |
Goo-Gone works as well.

I don't use any of that.
I take my guitar pick, and slowly start to peel it away at a certain spot, and when it's lifted up enough I just peel the sucker on up with my fingers. Out of all of the DVDs that I've got from there, I've never had the sticker to leave behind any type of stickyness, it's very weird. I can't say the same for Blockbuster though. I quit buying used DVDs from there because their stickers are almost impossible to remove. |
i just peeled them off like BrentLumkin, start at a loose edge and work your way slowly around the edge, and eventually it'll come off. easy as pie!

If it is an older DVD that has been sitting on the shelf, I would recommend against just peeling the label with your fingers. I ruined two discs that way. Peeled off part of the actual disc with the sticker.

I second goo-gone. Spray a couple of times, let it set for a few minutes, and any label will peel right off and leave no residue.

I just peel them off with my fingers. Works perfectly everytime.
