sticker glue on box set dvd's

I just bought the futurama seasons one and two dvd's and they have these sheets with all the infomation usually on the back of the case (running time, description, rating, etc.) glued to the box. When I took the sheet off I was left with this line of sticker glue running down my dvd box. Has anyone found a good way of removing this stuff without damaging the case. I've already ruined my two towers case just using a wet cloth and my nails.

i just rub on it with my finger, and it comes off, its like rubber cement.

Buy some Goo-Gone (in the cleaning supply section) at Wal-Mart next time you pick up a DVD... :)

If the stuff is like "fake snot" just do what movie diva said. Start at one end and "roll" it to the other end.

If it's the sticky residue left by a sticker, use Goo Gone as DVD Smurf mentioned.

I checked out walmart. They didn't have the goo gone in stock but they had some other stuff that looked really strong and said not to use on porous surfaces. Is goo gone less potent or should I just try the other stuff? I've been using my thumb on one of them for about an hour but I can't seem to get all of it off. Thanks for the tips.

Get Goo Gone in another store. The worst you want is to ruin your box even after you dump $ on that other stuff.

A word of warning. If the area where you apply Goo Gone is itself a paper like cover wrapping around a thick cardboard box (e.g., LOTR EE), too much Goo Gone could lift the paper cover off the cardboard since they are glued together as well.
