Wip: Babylon 5 Boxset Covers
 

Still in an early stage, but the front in working out exactly the way I had in mind so I wouldn't wait to share what I had so far with you guys ;-)

At the moment this is designed for a 6/7 disc Alpha Keepcase ...

Preview updated ...

Added the word "Babylon" over the big 5 on the front ... but to be honest i'm not too fond of the change. I myself liked it better without that being on there. Anyone else ?

Preview updated & spine design completed.

The only things that is probably gonna change on the spines are the images used at the top, most of them are low res now since I was too lazy to scan them in now. But for the preview that doesn't matter anyway.

Since Season 5 is still a shot in the dark I used the In the Beginning art for it, just to fill up the gap. I think the combine spine makes it pretty obvious what series we're talking about ;D

Any thoughts ?

Wow! I like it alot! One question... Is that a B5 font you are using foe the "season" designations, or a Trek one? Anyway, nice job!

Actually it's neither ... the font is called Denmark ... not sure where it's origins lie :)

Credits / logos / legal blurb added ... now comes the hard part ;-)

One question, though: are you planning on including the season title somewhere on the cover?

That should go on the back somewhere or maybe on the lower part of the front where it says "The Year is xxxx. The Place is Babylon 5".

Not sure on that yet though, most probably it'll go on the back :)

Aren't they going to release a "box" of all the B5 movies, too? If so, it would be nice to have them integrated into the set your designing.

Since that hasn't been officialy confirmed yet i'm not making a cover for it yet ... but the design allows for extensions so I don't foresee any trouble in doing so when the time comes.
