Decline of American Empire?

Anyone hear plans of a release of this one now that Barbarian Invasions is in the cinemas? I'd really love to see this one first, but finding it seems to be impossible.

I'm sure once "Barbarians" is released on DVD, "Empire" will be released simultaneously to tie-in. At least one would hope so. Especially if "Barbarians" wins the Foreign Film Oscar, which many insiders are buzzing about.

That would be nice...I think I'm going to hold off seeing Invasions til I can see the first one. I know it isn't necessary to see Decline first...but....but...y'all understand.

It looks like Landmark Theatres is selling Decline of the American Empire at the locations where they're showing The Barbarian Invasions. The price is $14.95 plus tax - but it appears the only way to buy it is in person.

Listed on amazon.ca with a release date of 23-March-2004, not much info on details and I haven't got a clue who "Behaviour Distributors" are.

There's already a version out there from Seville but it's full screen and french only.

On a whim I picked up the DVD at Landmark - it is the Seville version but the back claims to have the French version w/ subtitles as well as an English dub. I'll crack it open sometime this week to confirm.

Arcand's "Jésus de Montréal" is in an even worse situation, DVD-wise...
