Warner Home Video have today sent word on two highly anticipated special edition releases. Firstly, Warner have confirmed that a two disc special edition of Michael Mann's Heat will be available from July next year. No details are available yet, but we'll bring you more soon. The most eagerly anticipated release though is likely to be a two disc release of Goodfellas which promises extensive input from director Martin Scorsese. This is expected to arrive in September next year alongside After Hours, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore and Who's That Knocking at my Door? We'll bring you more details soon.

Hopefully it will be for region 1 also. We can only hope. What I mean is they might not release it for region 1. For example The Evildead Trilogy, Predator Special Edition, Raging Bull and The Deer Hunter. These versions from the region 2 area just blow the region 1 bare bones releases. They have never released these region 2 movies for region 1. This is why you need an all region dvd player.

LOL.

This is too damn funny. A new thread about Region 2 every few days --- then speculation about when it will be released in Region 1. Then, talks about maybe Region 1 will get DTS - then talks about how Warner doesn't do DTS anymore -- then talks about Michael Mann and extras for Heat.
