MUST HAVES: List fav's and ones to show off DVD medium...

I think as a combo of likes and ones to really show DVD medium: (not necessarily in order of best)

1. Die Hard I (5 Star Collection)
2. The Fifth Element (Superbit)
3. Starship Troopers (Superbit)
4. The Lion King
5. Fight Club (2-disc)

Others: (honorable mention)

6. A Bug's Life (2-disc Collector's)
7. LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring
8. Alien Quadrilogy (though haven't seen it all yet)
9. Daredevil (really amazing visual and sound)
10. Die Another Day (also really amazing visuals and sound)

More fav's:

11. Scarface (2-disc Collector's)
12. True Romance (2-disc Director's Cut)
13. Leon: The Professional (Uncut International Version)
14. Once Upon A Time In America
15. Godfather Trilogy
16. Tigerland
17. Finding Nemo (2-disc)
18. Toy Story 2
19. Pulp Fiction (2-disc Collector's)
20. Jaws
21. Kissing Jessica Stein

Well I don't buy movies to show off the DVD medium, but some of the DVDs I do like are excellent for this, such as:

Lord of the Rings FOTR or TTT, Theatrical or EE.
Finding Nemo
Starship Troopers

Definitely the Matrix. It's like the Godfather of DVD's, one of the true originals.

Primarily, I use Fifth Element (Superbit) to "show off" visual clarity, and Daredevil (in DTS) to present an awesome, immersive soundstage. But I do agree and use a lot of the other titles mentioned, such as Matrix, TLotR Extended Editions, Finding Nemo, The Fast and the Furious (DTS mode), etc.

None of the ones on the poll list.

I use LOTR: FOTR and TTT, Lion King, The Matrix and Gladiator

T3 is my new reference disc for both Audio and Visual. I have used Toy Story, The Thin Red Line, and Fight Club in the past though.

I'd agree with Simpson....The opening sequence to Saving Private Ryan in DTS.

It really depends on your setup and what you like to show off.
I love to demo LOTR FOTR EE in DTS-ES with my SVS Sub PC+ 16-46. At near Dolby reference level there is so much subsonic bass in Balin's Tomb scene when they fight the Cave Troll to when they face the Balrog that my insides are hurting and my stomach is flipped upside down. Thats great demo material.
The amount of bass in kiddie dvds are incredible too, the Monsters Inc. Sock Scene and Finding Nemo Darla tapping the glass always prove to be a crowd pleaser.
I demo the video on my X1 projector at 100" widescreen and no matter what I throw in, the Faroujda deinterlacer makes the picture look awesome.
