Premature, but still MUST ASK -- Last Samurai, when?

I know it's too early, but thought perhaps on a slim chance the 'projected' release date has already been mentioned or leaked. Any ideas when this will be available? 2nd quarter, 3rd or 4th? Definitely not 2005, atleast I hope not!

Thanks

Probably Summer 2004.

Why ask if its just a projected release date?

Honestly? It's just something to look forward to. Atleast now I can start counting down the months.

Jeez, are you so premature in all aspects of your life (he, he!!)? Go to Amazon.com and sign up to be notified by e-mail when the release date is announced, then there will one day be a message waiting in your inbox saying that "you may now pre-order last samurai" and it will give you the release date! Then you can pitch the e-mail and start counting the months.

I will be picking this one up. It has not done as well at the box office as I had hoped. Hopefully, it will do better on DVD.

I would guess Late April, Early May. The Oscars are in febuary and I exspect WB to announce it about 2 weeks after Oscars and usually films are announced about 2 months before being released, so a March announcent would mean either a Late April or Early May release

I'll throw in my 2 cents and say mid-May. Why? Just a hunch.

This better be done right because if it is just released fast to please fans, and the transfer blows and it lacks extras. I'll be very mad!

In the meantime, spend some quality time with Seven Samurai and other Kurosawa Samurai films. If you've already done so, then hold tight.
