Warner UK prepping 2-disc Heat and Goodfellas SEs
Wasn't quite sure if this should be in the International forum, but since the recent thread about the French SE of Good, the Bad, and the Ugly was allowed... why not.
From Davis DVD:
I'm happy with the current version of Heat (never watch the extra features anyway) but I'll finally be able to pick up Goodfellas.
From Davis DVD:
Warner Home Video UK have confirmed two of their more highly anticipated special editions releases for Summer 2004. First up is a new two-disc special edition of Michael Mann's crime drama Heat. Look for this one in July. Just as exciting, if not more important, is Martin Scorsese's Goodfellas. The best film of the 90's finally gets the respect it deserves with a two-disc special edition loaded with documentaries and audio commentaries. Look for this one in September, along with the DVD debuts of After Hours, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore and Who's That Knocking at My Door? Stay tuned for more details on all of these titles soon!

I realise not a true 'Special Edition' in relation to what we are accustomed but would in my eyes be deemed a fairly 'special' release if this was what was planned.

BUT...the difference is that Warner Bros doesn't do DTS over here...so doubtful that there will be DTS. And since Michael Mann is known for not wanting to do commentaries (am I wrong on this???), I'm not sure WHAT extras are going to be on this.
Hopefully it won't be a special edition like Glengarry Glen Ross.
