Obviously, these arent legit releases. Copied off TV to DVD.

I'm surprised HBO hasnt contacted Ebay to pull them.

Why are some TV Show copies are pulled while others remain for sale?

Because ebay depends (largely) on the user base to report violations. Alert ebay to them.

No, eBay relies more on studiwho are members of their VeRO (Verified Rights Owner) program.

Occasionally, you can contact them and get a listing pulled, but usually, eBay can't (won't) be bothered unless it's a VeRO member who's contacting them.

That's not been my experience when alerting ebay to some auction. YMMV, or they may have had multiple folks alter them to these particular auctions. But they did get pulled.

EBay once pulled a listing of mine because the word "banned" appeared in the title. And eBay could brook no such "violation."

Incidentally, the listing in question was for STRAW DOGS: BANNED IN THE UK (the Anchor Bay, pre-Criterion edition). "Banned" appeared in big, faux-stenciled letters right on the DVD cover.

Stupid eBay.

Okay. Now back to our regular programming.
