I'm assuming this is a widescreen disc, right?

Great blacklist drama starring Woody Allen and Zero Mostel. I may just pick this one up.

I had forgotten about this film. It doesn't seem to have much appeal now.

One of the few Woody Allen films I've never seen - looking forward to it.

A good flick, though Woody Allen was only an actor in this film. He did not write nor direct it.

A revisionist slant on history, sure. But an instructive one, if I'm remembering correctly (I saw this maybe 10 years ago, so many of the particulars are fuzzy).

The film serves as a kind of cultural bookmark. For those interested in the rhetorical strategies employed by many influential 1970s intellectual elites as a way toward re-framing the historical record vis-a-vis the Hollywood blacklists, check it out. The screenwriter, Walter Bernstein, was himself blacklisted.

It'll be nice to have this on DVD, and I'm interested to see what -- if any -- extras will be included. This film may not "entertain" everyone, but it'll prove instructive to many.

According to DVDPlanet, it'll have widescreen and P&S.

YES! I am very excited about this. I've had this on my unannounced wishlist since I first started keeping a list. :) I've wanted this since I first saw it in a college class about the Cold War. It's very interesting if you're interested in history and/or political science.

I haven't seen it for probably 20 years, but I'll be picking it up.
