Since I took the time to look at your list I will respond. Even with 628 titles you only have 74 and don't have 54 of mine. You have at least 100 titles I wouldn't buy. I'll just say we have different tastes; that isn't a bad thing. :)

I envy those X-Files sets, that's for sure...

We overlap on about 125 titles -- about 17% of your collection. From what I see, it appears I like the 70s alot more than do you (but then, I like 70s movies more than most collectors), and you like campy horror flicks and sequels a bit more than do I.

what kind of 70"s horror movies and or comedy's do you prefer, beings you are into the 70's genre?

I've got about 1/3 of those on your list - lots of good stuff there.

If you're a fan of genre films, you MUST get your hands on <b>RAVENOUS</b> (it's under $10 almost everywhere).

We obviously have different tastes. I probably wouldn't even think of owning half your titles. However, I am jealous of about 1/4 of the titles you own. :)

Well, you have many of the big 70s horror titles I hold in high regard -- Exorcist, Omen, Wicker Man (try to pick up the collector's edition with the longer cut, though), Halloween, etc.

I'd recommend a few others from the 70s / early 80s: The Shining, Wolfen, The Howling, The Thing, Ghost Story, The Changeing, Funhouse, Altered States (all very early 80s titles), Don't Look Now (N. Roeg), Sisters, Carrie (Brian DePalma), Dawn of the Dead, The Hills Have Eyes, The Tenant, Rosemary's Baby (late 60s)...

Comedy-wise, the 70s get's kinda tricky -- because a lot of what counts as drama often hides brilliant satire / black comedy (evident in films like Nashville, M*A*S*H, The Candidate, The Bad News Bears, Breaking Away, Annie Hall, Manhattan, The Wanderers, The Sting -- all excellent, with Breaking Away, Bad News Bears, The Sting, The Wanderers, and Manhattan personal favorites of mine). And there are many more that fit this mold. Paper Moon. Harold and Maude. Just about every Woodly Allen film save Interiors...And on and on.

Here are a few clear comedies, though: Young Frankenstein, What's Up Doc?, Blazing Saddles, Airplane, Every Which Way But Loose, Fritz the Cat, The Graduate (a late 60s film, but one of the greatest comedies of all time), The In-Laws. Then in the early 80s, Used Cars, Night Shift, Porky's, This is Spinal Tap... I'm sure I'm leaving out dozens of titles, but these provide a good place to begin.

Then there are the non-US releases....

You have about 600 DVDs, I have about 200, and our lists overlap by just 10. If we ever meet, let's not go see a movie together. Maybe we can just grab a bite to eat or something.

Couldn't you just show your collection off in your signature, like everyone else? Just saying.
