Alias DVD season 2 - $10 Rebate form

I'm just wondering if someone does not use their $10 rebate form for Alias season 1 and 2, would not mind let me have it. I bought both the season 1 and 2 last tuesday and for some reason I could not find the rebate form in either box. Thank you

Kelly.

I'm interested in knowing how many people did or did not get their rebate. I don't understand how some would get one, and others would not.

It was on specially marked packages.

Heck, I bought Pirates of the Carribean this week at Wal*Mart in Shelton, CT. and it came with a movie voucher for the new Eddie Murphy movie, Haunted Mansion. The same DVD set at BJ's had a junior novelization.

I would suspect that these retailers contact the studios and get these extra incentive edition to bring customers into the store.

Finding Nemo at Circuit City came with a mousepad, while the ones at Wal*Mart came with some sort of game.

Exclusive to Costco as far as I can tell. I looked at Best Buy and found none.

That bodes well for me I guess.

On an aside - I can't believe you already got your set from DDD already. Did you pre-order it, unlike most of us who waited for the coupon to kick in?

No, I didn't preorder, but I chose 2nd day shipping. 11 out of the 12 titles I ordered were in-stock so I figured it was worth the extra money for faster shipping.

My DDD had it in there, and it is a nice surprise that all I need is the proof from S1 since it was purchased awhile ago and I no longer have that receipt. However, one thing that worries me is the requirement that says, "Cash register receipt imprinted with store name and dated between 12/2/2003 and 05/31/2004, with DVD price circled."

Looking at my DDD receipt, it says order date of 11/25/2003...and does this count as a cash register receipt????

Do you ahve to buy anything additional for the $10 rebate? Or is it simply a rebate off the purcahse of Alias 2?

i finally got both Alias sets frm. DDD today. Only S2 had the "Save $10 by mail" sticker on the box, but no rebate form (or any other inserts) inside any of the cases. The rebate form seems to be hit & miss - i've seen this problem mentioned on other forums.
Has Buena Vista acknowledged this &/or tried to remedy this situation?

I purchased my Alias Season 2 set from Best Buy the week of its release; no rebate form was included. So I called up Buena Vista, asked for one, and they sent it (along with every other insert/special offer deal from all of their releases) out immediately. They were quite helpful and very friendly. I was pretty surprised, actually.

So I suggest you call the customer service number on the disc and get that form.

Good Luck!

The rebate form says the address of the retail store has to be in the same state as that of the customer.

No idea if this will prevent people from getting their rebates, but it is on there.

I've never had problems getting rebates when using online stores (including Columbia House). Regardless of the fine print of the rebate form. I think every Buena Vista rebate form has the "same state" language.

I ordered my Alias S2 set from DDD on 12/2/03 and received it a couple of weeks later. Rebate form was inside case 1 w/ discs 1 & 2. I mailed it in that week but haven't received the rebate yet.

Shaane,

Could you tell me how you contatcted Buena Vista?
I bought the 2nd Season Alias DVD in early December.
It had the $10 MIB sticker on the outside of the package,
but nothing on the inside.

I can't find contact info for BV... please send help!

Those folks are very friendly and were VERY willing to help.

They are sending the paperwork I'm missing.
I'm pleased... so far

Thanks for all the help,

Cool. I opened the box but not the 3 cases. Maybe I'll get one. The sticker on the front of the box said that I would.

PS. Thanks for maintaining that topic with all of the Costco info!

How badly do you have to multilate the packaging for the proof-of-purchase tabs?
