BACK TO THE FUTURE Corrected DVDs
After the Universal fiasco involving the mis-framing of two of the BACK TO THE FUTURE films in their Box Set from last December, I understand they corrected the problem and re-issued the set with a code or symbol on the box to signify it WAS a corrected re-issue. Does anyone know what the symbol or code is that Universal put on the new boxes?

Off topic...hope to get an answer before the innevitable lock...
Are vowels the only letters you use "an" before? I always said a/an in conjunction with the letters like this: AN A A B A C A D AN E AN F A G AN H AN I A J A K AN L AN M AN N AN O A P A Q AN R AN S A T A U A V A W AN X A Y A Z Just whatever sounds (to me) phonetically correct. |
That's how I do it too. "An u" just sounds wrong to me, as does "a m".
From here: Use an in place of a when it precedes a vowel sound, not just a vowel. That means it's "an honor" (the h is silent), but "a UFO" (because it's pronounced yoo eff oh). This confuses people most often with acronyms and other abbreviations: some people think it's wrong to use "an" in front of an abbreviation (like "MRI") because "an" can only go before vowels. Poppycock: the sound is what matters. It's "an MRI," assuming you pronounce it "em ar eye." Rob |
I agree: it is the sound that matters.
