Help - back to the future question
Hello - I'm new to DVD talk and have seen all the posts about the Back to the Future DVD set.
My question is: Since I'm not a huge technical viewer, will the faults of the first set really be noticeable? In other words - if I just want to watch the movies and the special features - without worry of missing an inch of film here or there - do I need to bother replacing my existing set? I bought it when they first came out. Thanks for the help! |
"without worry of missing an inch of film here or there"
If that's the criteria. The first discs are fine. They were "simply" misframed for a few minutes in the second and third movies. For those of us who want to see Doc pull on Marty's zipper rather than it being off screen, yes it is important. But for those who just want to "enjoy" the movies, the first versions will be fine. Me? I replaced them. But I'm interested in having it "perfect". Since you are not a "huge technical viewer", I doubt you'll notice the differences, given your statements. |
I'll agree with Seeker. You'll be fine with 'em. I replaced mine (fairly painless process) after watching 'em first.
Most people wouldn't have noticed anything wrong if it wasn't for the screen cap comparisons. |
Personally I'm not going to buy the uncorrected versions when the corrected versions are available. Universal should be shipping corrected sets to stores by this time, nearly a year after they started offering corrected discs to people who bought the original set.
