Anyone seen the newly repackaged Superman cartoons?

There are two different ones out now.

One is called (the equivalent of) Superman and Monsters and Villians.
Another is called (the equivalent of) Superman and Nature and War.

Has anyone seen these?
Do these two titles make up all of Fleishcer's Superman's cartoons?

Yes, it looks like those two titles contain all of the cartoons. However:

http://www.dvdplanet.com/product_lis...roductid=12517

includes all of the Fleishcer cartoons with FANTASTIC picture/sound quality. Available at most stores for about 7 bucks. Seems like this would make more sense than gambling on those two Goodtimes discs.

There are only 17 episodes total?

The "lost eppisodes" is just a marketing term right?

The two good times have the same eps as the Diamond Anniversary one.

This Diamond Anniversary one is the best version. Get it at Amazon for under $10.

Another good old cartoons DVD is the Complete Private Snafu.

So what other good "old PD" cartoon sets are there?

Amazon is selling the Diamond Anniversary and the Lost Eppisodes together for a discount.

But wouldn't you be getting half the eppisodes twice?

I have both of the "Monsters and Villians" and the "Nature and War" DVDs.

Love them both, cool to watch animation history on my TV screen.

Good cartoons, yes, but not in their current presentation on DVD. The source is awful, from videotape, and the Bosko Video company logo flashes on the screen during every short, as if it were being broadcast on cable TV.

Here are a couple of reviews of some of these sets:

AFAIK, the two Image sets are probably going to be about the same...

I don't know if the other PD versions are going to be like these, or not.

It only comes up for a couple of seconds on every short. It's not really bothersome.

But for now this is the best way to get the complete Snafu.

For half the price you can get the Diamond one which is probably the same but without the Snafu short.
