Any news on Beer Money or Porn n' Chicken?

I was going through some of my old DVD-r's and ran across the 2 films I recoreded from USA & Comedy Central, why haven't they been issued on DVD yet? They are clearly edited from "R" rated films for TV standards & I would like to see them "Uncut"

...erm... are you sure...?... the IMDb site lists Beer Money and Porn 'n Chicken as made-for-TV movies - and doesn't say anything about 'Alternate Versions' for either...

Yeah Porn 'n Chicken was made for TV. I caught it this summer - what a let down. I actually expected a lot more from the preview/promo ads.

...hmm... well, TV movies aren't only for TV anymore...they sometimes intend to make a bundle on the home theater market nowadays...hence longer cuts of TV movies like The Last Don on home video...not to mention titles such as THIS one, where additional footage was shot for a non-TV release...

Porn N' Chicken should come to DVD in 2004 from Comedy Central. Many months ago, Comedy Central listed it as coming out in the future (most likely 2004) on the format.

Comedy Central movies like "Porn 'n Chicken" or their current production "The Hannukah Hammer" are decidedly R-rated in nature, filled with naughty dialogue that the network bleeps out even during the original broadcast (much like they do with South Park). What the original poster is saying is that he'd like to see an un-bleeped version.

I'm not sure about Beer Money. That was made for the USA network and it's been a long while since I watched it, so I don't remember whether it was similarly designed. But hey, if there's any chance that Mercedes McNab shot a nude scene I'm all for an uncensored DVD!

The Hebrew Hammer was never a Comedy Central movie to begin with. It was an indie film (shot in 2.35:1 no less) that Comedy Central later picked up the rights to and broadcasted on their channel a few times. This is before the film has it's theatrical release this week by Strand Releasing (where you will be able to see the film in it's 2.35:1 uncut and unbleeped and uncensored glory). With Porn N' Chicken, I have no ideas if it was a film Comedy Central picked up from an indie film company or if it was directly made by Comedy Central themselves.

You are correct about Hebrew Hammer. I saw an interview with Andy Dick that talked about it.

Porn 'n Chicken was the first "Comedy Central original movie". A Google search revealed quite a bit about it: http://www.bthere.tv/story.asp?sid=426
