DVD Cover Offset
What do you all do when you get a DVD and the cover art isn't placed correctly?
I ordered Tokyo Story from Amazon, and it arrived in an alpha 2 pack. The cover art is raised about a 1'5" above the plastic cover on the top. I've tried again and again to push the coverart back inside, or pull from the bottom, but it simply doesn't want to slide (and I'm afraid of ripping it). What do you all do? |
I'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting what you've tried already but...
All you have to do is open the case and spread it open like you would if you were opening a book. It should take enough tension off the paper cover for you to slide it back down. |
*chuckle* I guess I should've made myself a bit more clear.
For some reason, this coverart is "stuck" in there. I don't know if it somehow happened during shipping or if someone actually applied some kind of adhesive, but it simply won't budge. I was just wondering if anyone had ever had this happen? |
mail it to me...ill fix it for you.

Heheh, meant to be a decimal point.
But I do have SOME things approaching a foot and a half. |

I've had a few DVD's where the cover art was sticking out a fraction of an inch beyond the clear plastic cover. The security tape was right over it. Taking off the security tape ripped the cover art stuck to the tape.

I hate those double alpha cases. Half the time the whole case is bent (big curve in it) and one of the sides won't close.
More often than not the Criterion covers are too short for the case, so they leave an ugly gap. Then they stick out the top or bottom because they're a bit too *wide* at the top and bottom. And yes, there's the beloved security stickers that will stick to the cover insert if it's sticking up above the plastic. Just horrible. |
