PixyJunket 11-06-03 01:10 PM

So sexy. :)

talemyn 11-06-03 01:11 PM

First it was the Indy Collection, Finding Nemo, and Charlies Angels 2 . . . all early . . .

Then it was Terminator 3 . . . also early . . .

Now LOTR TTT:EE, Tomb Raider 2, and X2 . . . again . . . early . . . how do you do it?

P.S. - Why do you keep taking the pictures up against those sheets when you know Jamers is going to bust your chops for it.

chanster 11-06-03 01:26 PM

Did it have a movie ticket for ROTK in it? Thanks

retihsuhnt 11-06-03 01:28 PM

NJ, nnnooo I live in OR. Damn this continental divide.

issues 11-06-03 01:30 PM

nope no movie ticket. I really wish it did. I got a free one with the lotr:ee.

Gyno Rhino 11-06-03 01:56 PM

You'd probably get a movie ticket if you bought it LEGALLY.

But then again, who really cares? I wish I could get the hookup.

atimoc 11-06-03 01:57 PM

The thought that I have to wait two more weeks for that makes me suicidal

What's illegal about buying it early? Lot's of smaller shops start selling before the street date. The practice is definitely frowned upon by the studios (and can lead to strained or broken relationships with the retailer), but I don't believe that it is illegal . . .

Gyno Rhino 11-06-03 02:01 PM

I'm pretty sure it is illegal, but since I have no proof of that, I'll let someone else take the side. :)

Thanks for the backup talemyn. PLease he has to be a dvd noob for posting what he said. I don't get a movie ticket because i got it 2 weeks before it comes out. SIGH.

PixyJunket 11-06-03 02:07 PM

It is not illegal..

Gyno Rhino 11-06-03 02:08 PM

Maybe illegal is the wrong word to use. I s'pose it isn't strictly illegal, but most stores will get put out if discovered. There are hefty fines for putting things out early.

Kinyo 11-06-03 02:14 PM

TTT looks awesome!!!

tcoursen 11-06-03 02:24 PM

I don't think the EE version of the TT is coming with a free ticket like the EE for FOTR did. I haven't see anything anywhere that has said that it is.

I don't think him getting it early is the reason why there was no ticket.

slop101 11-06-03 05:13 PM

A good friend of my parents' owns a video store and he usually gets me the big releases a week or two early - at cost, no less.

But he can't seem to do if for the more obscure or Criterion titles I'm usually into.

But he did say I can come by and pick up TT:EE and X2 on Friday.

I know what I'm doing this weekend...
