Does anyone else own this DVD?

The GG Allin documentary Hated. It also features his last show where there ended up being a riot on the streets of NY. I think I'm the only person who owns this DVD...and I bet most people don't even know who GG Allin is. Highly recommended for those who enjoy weird DVDs and aren't easily offended.

I don't have the DVD, but I know who GG Allin is. I remember he was arrested here in Milwaukee for taking a crap on stage, then picking it up and throwing it into the audience.

I also remember a punked out woman who had a "souvenir" who said she would save it forever.

The documentary does look interesting. Personally, I know who he is, but I don't find his "art" that interesting. I have a lot more respect for Bob Flanagan and the documentary "Sick" is really well done.

I purchased this disgusting film (and sat through every disgusting frame of it.....twice) a few years ago while visiting Gatlinburg Tennessee.

It's a pretty interesting look at one hell of an f'd up person. I don't seem to remember a concert resulting in a riot being on the VHS...is this an extra? Restored footage? What's the running time of the film?

Now I won't remember where I saw this: someone getting drunk as all hell and peeing on the grave/tombstone of GG Allin. I seem to remember Bam Margera being involved....

I rented it from Netflix and plan on buying it one of these days.

Good, disturbing doc with tremendous extras.

The DVD is a flipper. The film is an hour and so is the concert. The concert footage was done with a hand-held video camera.

... and it was made by Todd Phillips, somewhat-director of Old School and Road Trip and the non-documentary Frat House. From small beginnings...

GG Allin spit on my sister during one of his shows. I don't think she caught any souvenirs that she'll keep for life, though. He then bashed his forehead in with a microphone, broke a bottle on his head, began to chew on the glass, and then started cutting his chest.

Good times.

Very interesting on it being a flipper...just might spring to upgrade from VHS to DVD...

Do you think GG ever took a shower? Do you think he even knew what a shower was? Something tells me that man had QUITE the funky smell to him (no pun intended to funkyryno, unless you want it to be).

I've seen this documentary but don't really feel the need to own a copy of it. It's not someting I'm going to want to see again anytime soon.

GG was an interesting personality, to say the least.

If anyone is in the market for this, looks like Overstock has it at a new lower price:

it's also been called the highest grossing student film, not sure if it's a joke or not, but still a great documentary..

I used to get stuff from GG's brother (Merle) all the time back in the late 80's. Only seen about the half the stuff on the tapes.

If you strip away the theatrics, GG had some of the catchiest tunes of its time.
