How many of your will not buy Universal Snappers...

I just converted all my snappers to keepcases last week. It makes my collection look alot better. Luckily, I only had about 20 or so. I just hated having to waste a shelf of my dvd rack to hold snappers. From now on, if any movie I really want comes out in a snapper, I will wait until Hollywood Video sells it previously viewed, since all their new releases are already in keepcases.

I don't mind snappers at all. Although, if you've got little rugrats runnin' around (who have a habit of knocking over your cool refreshing beverages that are parked on the end-table next to your stack of snapper-housed Digital Versatile Discs), then the plastic Amaray-style "Keepcases" are the way to keep your sanity--and your collection--intact!
One of my favorite DVDs, in fact comes in a very attractive, multi-paneled snapper, with a kind of plastic coating on the cardboard.......

To add to the "Did/does Universal use snappers" debate ..... For some silly reason, Universal's own website insists on showing the wrong info for "Packaging Type" on most all releases. They claim everything comes in a "Snap Case", when, in fact, all of those DVDs are in Keepcases. ........
An Example.
I wonder, since Universal DID use "Snappers" in the "early days", if they just haven't updated the info. Or: it's possible, of course, that some people *might* refer to what is commonly called a "Keep Case" as a "Snap" case. After all, even an Amaray case "snaps" shut.

1: I hate snapper cases, but will buy DVD's that I want regardless of packaging.
2: If Universal used snapper cases, they stopped years ago. I have never seen a Universal snapper case. Image released those titles under license, thus they are Image releases. Image has since converted to keep cases.

I've had 3 or 4 snapper cases have broken hubs. This has never happened to me with a keep case. In general, keep cases have better protection for the DVD than a snapper, although my Almost Famous bootleg cut DVD has cracks at the center because the pushbutton hub doesn't release easily.

I don't care what kind off packaging the DVD's come in ... as long as the content is OK ... i'm satisfied ...
The uglier the packaging the more chance I'll make a custom for it ...

It's a character in True Romance, but I have no idea what the name means.
