I know what you mean.
Companies are starting to churn out DVDs, hell Neil Young has about 7 out right now.
I personally am only going to concentrate on getting music video DVDs first, and concerts later.

I have a fair number of music DVDs so far including:
Gorillaz (R2)
the Smiths - Complete Picture
Poster Children - Zero Stars
Bjork: Greatest Hits - Volumen
Christian Death - Live
Autechre
Maaya Sakamoto
The Might Be Giants - Direct from Brooklyn
Bauhaus
and a few more
On order or am anxiously awaiting:
Dead Milkmen
Belle & Sebastian - For Fans Only
Tenacious D (though I wouldn't consider this a music DVD so much as I am buying this for the TV Show mainly, it was a favorite)

EDIT: I seem to have misunderstood the title, what I have aren't Audio DVDs, they are Video DVDs.
I have the Tool Salival box set. Awesome.
I had a Rage Against the Machine in Mexico City concert DVD, but traded it off because it wasn't that good. I'd rather have the other Rage Against the Machine DVD that came bundled with the Ghost of Tom Joad CD single.
I plan on buying more Music DVDs however.

Music DVD's are slowly infiltrating my shelf. I picked up most of them pre-viewed (pre-listened?) and do not regret any of my purchases.
In fact, I've already started to get a few preorders in!

I actually find myself watching my own collection of music DVD's far more often than the other DVD's in my collection be they concert performances or just collections of videos.

I have "Metallica: Cliff'em All," "Sarah McLachlan Mirrorball," "Sarah McLachlan Video Collection," and "Iron Maiden Visions of the Beast."
Plan on picking up "The Cure: Trilogy" and "Queensryche Operation LiveCrime" one of these days.
I was a bit disappointed that "The Cure Greatest Hits" wasn't a comprehensive package, as there were some omissions, like "Caterpillar." I'm sitting out this one and waiting for a better collection.
Also a little disappointed that a lot of the concert DVDs that are being released are of more recent material, rather than bands in their primes. Like getting "Rock in Rio" from Iron Maiden rather than "Live After Death" and "Trilogy" from The Cure rather than "The Cure in Orange."

I like how some concerts from bands are on DVD, I love picking those up. As far as the music DVD's that are just audio, meh, I'm not really into that.
And I love how groups like Insane Clown Posse call their DVD concerts that are OFFICIAL releases 'bootlegs', even though it was filmed by somebody that was hired by them and released through all the normal retail motions, lol.

I have a fair amount of concert DVDs and I find they're the ones I watch most. My top three concert DVDs are probably Motorhead's "Boneshaker", Slayer's "War at the Warfield" and Ministry's "SphincTOUR." (Yes, I'm a metalhead!) But once "Rush in Rio" comes out tomorrow, you can kiss the rest of my collection good-bye for at least a month!

Im surprised no one has mentioned the LEd Zeppelin DVD that came out last june i think. It has to be the best music DVD i have ever seen, hands down. The audio and video is absolutely phenomenal.
I also have the Cure: Trilogy dvd which is also Very Very excellent.
Im planning up the Rush Dvd as well at some point.

I'm also semi-new to music video DVDs, but considering their cost vs. buying CDs, I'm sure I'll have a lot more soon.
Rush in Rio (as of Tues, should be awesome!)
Stevie Ray Vaughan Live from Austin (excellent concert video)
Stevie Ray Vaughan Live at the el Mocambo (excellent concert video)
Led Zeppelin DVD (excellent concert video as you all know)
Genesis - the way we walk (decent concert video, wife's favorite group)
B.B. King: The Jazz Channel Presents: BET on Jazz (haven't watched yet)
The Beatles - A Hard Day's Night (movie really, but pretty cool)
Beatles, The - Yellow Submarine (same as above, kids love it)
Billy Joel - Essential Video Collection (videos mostly, ok but wouldn't buy it again)
The Brian Setzer Orchestra - Live in Japan (very good, fun to watch or listen)
Nickelback - Live at Home (haven't watched yet, bought for son)
Peter Gabriel - Secret World Live (haven't watched yet)
Queen - Greatest Video Hits 1 (videos mostly, ok but wouldn't buy it again)
Keb' Mo' - Sessions at West 54th (this one is great!)
Dave Matthews Band - Listener Supported (very good DMB, same as PBS special)
Harry Connick Jr. - The New York Big Band Concert (good, but old stuff)
The Dixie Chicks - An Evening With The Dixie Chicks (haven't watched yet, bought for daughter)
Les Miserables - In Concert (good, more like a musical than concert)
Queen - Live at Wembley '86 (very good, recommend to Queen fans)
Phil Collins - Face Value (documentary with music, wouldn't recommend)
Rush - Chronicles (only Rush available, about half videos and half live, decent)
Utopia - Redux '92 Live in Japan (good if you like rundgren/utopia)
Sade - Life Promise Pride Love (haven't watched yet)
Sade - Live Concert Home Video (very good overall)
Queensryche Operation Livecrime (VHS, great concert, need to upgrade to the DVD!)
