Think Silence of the Lambs will get another release?
I don't think a Criterion of it will fall into my hands any time soon, so I was thinking of getting the current version out... but I can hold out if another version is coming sometime... but I haven't heard anything myself.
Thanks. |
You never know.
That's why I haven't bought one DVD...fear that a better edition will be coming down the line. |
I was just thinking someone may know something.
But no thanks anyway. |
The current release is already the third incarnation since the advent of DVD. I highly doubt we'll see another one for a number of years.

Back on topic, I wouldn't count on another SotL release any time soon, either. But check eBay for the Criterion. Just be patient and you'll find one eventually. |
I'll still keep my eye out for a Criterion of it, however:

Since this thread seems to have wrapped itself up rather quickly, I'm going to hijack it for a moment and ask . . . reubs . . . DAWGS = UGA? Have wanted to clarify for some time now and keep forgetting. :)

What's wrong with the MGM release, other than the fact it doesn't have a commentary track?

Have wanted to clarify for some time now and keep forgetting. :) Thanks for noticing. You assumed correctly. 2003 graduate, 41-14 over the Vols! Are you a fan yourself? As for "what's wrong with the MGM release?", some people say that the transfers are too different. The Criterion is darker and non-anamorphic. My understanding is that the MGM is lighter and anamorphic. Also, the Criterion has the Voices of Death extra feature (interviews with real serial killers). |
They both have different selections of deleted scenes. Overall, MGM has more, but Criterion still has deleted footage not on the MGM disc.
