It's Official...Schindler's List on DVD in 2004!!!

Hello:

Good news!

From the Digital Bits:

We hadn't planned to check in with another update today, but this one is just too good not to let you all know about. We have official confirmation from Universal Studios that Steven Spielberg's long awaited Schindler's List will finally debut on DVD in 2004.

NOTE: they have a link posted to an article to video store magazine, but as of this posting, I could not get it to work.

I haven't seen this movie since it was on TV with no commercials on NBC I think. I'll definitely add this one to my collection even though I won't be watching it a lot.

It is at the bottom. Nothing but them just saying it is in 2004.

Nice! I'm so looking forward to this on either release date in 2004. I wonder if there will be a commentary by Spielberg. Fiennes' performance was chilling, I wonder if he'll be available to record a commentary as well.

Either way, less any extras, this DVD is mine.

Good news!

After Indiana Jones, I assume this is the last big Spielberg title left to be released (with the exception of Duel).

Nice news - especially since the actual source isn't digitalbits.

so far there are tons of other titles that I am looking forward in 2004 and this is NOT one of them. Back in 1999 I was very excited about having it but Universal screwed it (I always thought that it was good movie NOT excellent)!!

I will pass!!

Spielberg doesn't do commentaries. Ever.

The subject matter is certainly important but for me there are some films I have zero interest in seeing more than once. I like films I enjoy watching.

One of the few titles that I would dub "an important film". This should be required viewing for everyone. A masterpiece of filmmaking that is my most wanted DVD, even above Star Wars & Indiana Jones.

From the Digital Bits' rumor mill:

This is a quick update to let you know that we heard an actual street for Universal's upcoming Schindler's List DVD. Word from retailers in the know is that Universal expects to release the DVD-18 disc on March 9th of next year.
