a) Tin is 1/2" taller than an Amaray.

b) I've only seen the Tin.

c) Sorry, I don't know.

Technically, the tin was supposed to be some sort of "Limited Edition" type of thing, but honestly, I've never seen anything but the tin . . . except for eBay auctions out of Korea.

I like the tin . . . it gives a nice bit of visual variety to my DVD shelf.

If anybody is having trouble finding it on the shelves (I dont think you should at least yet), I'm positive you could always find it available for sale by some seller on amazon.com who has it still in its original shrink rap or hell, another online store may still have a stock of tins. Just shop around, no need to compare, as the tin is obviously the choice to make Was the best packaged item casing for a while. Still may be!

When I got mine, it had cover papers on it, but I don't remember if they looked like that or not . . . could be.

If you are interested in picking up a copy (and I HIGHLY recommend it . . . one of the best, most well-rounded, most complete WWII works ever created), I would suggest eBay or Half.com for the best price. I got mine for just over $62 (with shipping) at Half.com, but I've seen some for around $50 on eBay recently.

the R3 limited Korean edition is much more interesting than the R1 in terms of package design. fold-out digipak, map, dogchain, etc. comes in a nifty military-style knapsack. no DTS sound, though. but otherwise, i was happy with everything else.

That is the back, looks like Best Buy removed the outer cardboard slipcover and reversed it for that pic.

But, despite rarley happening, R1 has got it where it counts. DTS is well worth it. I dont care if the R3 version does have all that, a Thompson, a Colt 1911, a Congressional Medal of Honor, a 101st Airborne patch, a bandaid, a helmet, a Luger, and
Spoiler:
a piece of Bill Guarnere's leg
. I still want the DTS track. (Actually I would buy that gift set if it had all that crap but what Im trying to say in my overly long and completley unneccesary post is I like the DTS track on my Band of Brothers dvd. Sry)

b) I've seen the boxed R3 here. Then again, I don't live in the US.

c) Not that I know of. Try your luck in the International Forum.

BTW the R3 version don't have DTS.
