*OFFICIAL* dvd signings/events thread.

I think we need a thread to post the latest dvd or celebrity events so those might get their dvds signed.

Today Mr John Ryhs Davis (aka Sallah) signed the Indy dvd inserts today at the Blockbuster in Hollywood 7 pm to 9 pm.

Big dvds are going to be released between now and the holidays. Lots of these events are last minute. This thread will help spread the word. Thanks guys.

You could have him sign either Citizen Kane, Dark City or Casablanca - he does a commentary on all three.

Not really an open public event but this past Sat in Hollywood was held a Indy dvd press event. Harrison Ford made a surpise appearance when the gorls were on stage then left telling them "See You Soon.." (HINT for Indy 4)

Am I the only one who feels a little sorry for Aykroyd after reading this?

How early should I show up for the Star Trek VI signing? And how long will it go on for ? I've never been to one before so I don't know what to expect...

Nick Meyer will be there as long as there are people there to have their DVDs autographed. Normally this can be an hour to two hours. I'd suggest arriving around the announced start time.

Dang... too bad it's on a work day. Not that it'd be late but just having to make the drive home.

ILikeDVD... are you going for both? If I was going, I'd like to hit the Carrie Fisher signing, then head over to Nick Meyer's signing.

Thanks for the post ILikeDVD! I'll be all over the San Rafael Borders on Jan. 31. Do you think it would be OK to ask him to sign "the Wrath of Kahn", & "Time After Time", along with "Star Trek VI"? I'm going to bring them along, regardless!

I will be hitting the Trek VI signing in Westwood, and not Carrie's. Already got her at Grand Slam in Pasadena last year. Plus i doubt she'll sign anything else but her book.
I will definitly bring my Wrath of Khan dvd(signed by Ricardo Montalban)and try to get that signed as well. See you there.

spongebobkay - It never hurts to bring whatever along. The worst that can happen is they will say "Only 1 item" or "Just the DVD". If that happens, and you have the time, get the DVD signed and wait around until the end and see if you can get him to sign the other items.
