What Are You Watching This Week/Weekend? (9/8 - 9/14)

Spoiler:

This Is A List That Spans The Entire 7 Day Week

Feel Free To Include Movies From Television & The Movie Theater

Spoiler:

Monday
Critters 2 - (1988) - 8/10

Tuesday
The Omega Man - (1971) - 7/10

Wednesday
The Core - (2003) - 7/10 - Perhaps a better title would have been Armageddon 2: Innerspace

Thursday
Solyent Green is... - (1973) - 7/10

Friday
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind - 8/10 (2002)
Embrace of the Vampire - (1994) - 6/10

Saturday
Animal House - (1978) - 9/10

Sunday
Once Upon A Time In Mexico - 7/10

Got home from a crappy work day and was surprised to find the following waiting in my mailbox, all of which are from DDD:
  • Animal House
  • House of Wax
  • Them!
  • Critters 2-4
  • Soylent Green
  • The Omega Man
  • John Carpenter's In The Mouth Of Madness
  • Horror Of Dracula
  • The Thing From Another World
  • The Curse Of Frankenstein
  • The Mummy (1959)
  • The Omen Collection
  • Horror DVD 5-Pack: (Cujo, Golden Years, The Langoliers, The Stand, and Thinner)

Definitely the largest number of discs I've ever received in one day ...we're talking pdjennings and gutwrencher numbers here!

I'll try and watch some this week, but it'll probably take the rest of the month to view them all.

  • Also have some Netflix on the way: The Core and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind
  • Will try and catch Cabin Fever

You've managed to get an advanced copy of this?!!...i'm looking forward to the boxset being released in November...does your 4* rating represent the quality of the actual film IYO or the DVD release?...i'm hoping for nice anamorphic transfers but a shame that 'Return Of The Pink Panther' isn't included due to film rights etc..

I've been watching my The X-Files: The Complete Sixth Season since Sunday, and I don't know why people put this season down, so far it's been terrific.

All my TV seasons are getting in the way of movie watching- I have a whole stack of great DVDs that need watching :\

Edit: I finally got around to watching Les Girls, which I loved.

The boxset was released here in Scandinavia last Friday, even it's 1:1 to UK with just added extra sheet of paper with translated title names, the boxset itself is the same. My **** goes for the movie alone, it wasn't as funny as i remembered it being that's all. The DVD itself had nice anamorphic 2.35:1 AR but had some film grain noise and other slight problems on - also the colors were slightly bleak maybe, still quite enjoyable. Very fine boxset! The set sells here (in Finland) for some 50euro btw.
