Just Got Simpsons Season 3!

Last night I picked up Simpsons Season 3, so far it's a really good set, it has the classic Butterfinger commercials and the Macy Day Parade balloon of Bart, I haven't watched any other of the special features but I'm enjoying it quite a lot, watched the first disc and half of the second.

P.S. There is no word on Season 4, I guess another year is to come!

List price is $49.99 I believe, so actually that price is very good. I have a $20 gift card from Best Buy so I may wait until Tuesday. Thing is, I don't get off of work until 3:30pm, so by the time I get to Best Buy I'm afraid they may be all sold out. I may just goto Walmart tonight and see if they have it. I could always use my $20 gift card for when Carlito's Way SE comes out 9/2.

Got mine on Thursday at Wal-Mart (also for $38 plus tax). I know I could have gotten it cheaper (perhaps much cheaper if Target does the Futurama deal) but there was no way I could turn around and walk away empty handed after seeing it on the shelf.

It's interesting, on the commentary track at the end of the episode "Bart's Friend Falls in Love," Al Jean says

Accept, you know with these DVDs they're saying we have so many expensive music cues on the (show) you shouldn't use them anymore. Which is the most backwards argument I've ever heard. Like "Make the show a little worse so the DVDs sell better."
Giving further credence to the notion that music rights are at least one of the things holding up these sets.

Love the set. Great commentaries, and the art design of the package is really cool.

Did Fox use the individual thin-pak cases like Futurama/Family Guy, or is it still the fold-out digipack case like the previous two seasons?

its just like the other 2 seasons. Now there are simplisitic menus and a play all feature as well, as well as having some of the cast do commentaries as well.

Plus $10 off season 1 of "Family Guy," "Futurama," or "King of the Hill" (if you like any of those shows).

Ordered mine from buy.com for $30 and change. It will be at home waiting for me before I ever get home from my trip. The Best Buy deal's cool, but I already have Family Guy, the 2 seasons of Futurama and the other Simpsons seasons.

Can't wait for season 4.

Perfect timing for a deal. I was planning on picking up Simpsons 3 and Family Guy when I come back for a visit next week.

I returned my unopened copy last night to Wal-Mart and will be visiting Best Buy come Tues to purchase Simpsons S3 and King of the Hill S1. The $10 off promo was too good to pass up.

I got this over a week ago - and I've already watched the entire thing WITH the commentaries. And they are GREAT!

The commentaries are so much fun, that they were ALMOST worth the wait.
