LOTR:TTT Shipping?

With the release date 3 days away, I'd start to think that some e-tailers would start shipping their stock. I ordered mine through Amazon, but still no shipping notification

Anybody out there get notification or have a local store put it on their shelves?

I ordered from buy.com and it hasn't shipped. I have a feeling I won't be getting it until next weekend at the earliest.

zak52,

Yeah, that's my thinking. While I'd love to see it on the 26th, I doubt I'd have the time to see it in one sitting after work. The Labor Day wekend would be perfect...

I'm probably going to get my copy of the Twin Towers from Best Buy, along with Simpsons Season 3.

I ordered from BestBuy, it shipped Thursday. It was in todays mail!! I've never gotten a movie early from BestBuy ever. What a wonderful surprize! I usually get my pre-orders from BestBuy 3-7 days after their release date. So this is a complete shock.

Hi All,

Without wishing to sound smug, I've had my copy since 14th August!

This is not unusual in the UK, most of your R1 titles are available up to 2 weeks ahead of your street date. This is probably because the vendors over here arn't supposed to hold stocks of R1 titles or distribute them within this country, so as soon as they get them in, they get them off the premises toot sweet!

Interestingly, I can't get hold of our R2 releases untill their street date!

Anyways, for the record, I have the R1 2 & 4 disc versions of FOTR and can confirm that this new 2 disc version of TT is up to the same high standard!.............very classy!............... Wait till you see the preview of ROTK too!

Best Regards,
Keith.

It's been my experience that Amazon rarely, if ever, ships DVDs early.

Buy.com shipped mine on Friday and I got it today. I can't believe it shipped that quick. This is the first time I got a movie early.

i think I'm just going to pick it up at BB tommorrow. I preordered it from DDD a while ago before their quality of service went down the toilet so I have no idea when I'd get it from them.

My copy is in the process of shipping over at Amazon. I don't mind waiting since it is only costing me $2.90 thanks to the $15 Mastercard GC and the trivia discount.
