Cast Away: SE reduced from dts-es to just plain dts?
Ok, yesterday I was @ Best Buy to do some browsing of dvds that I like to do. (don't do much buying there, too expensive)
Anyway, I noticed they had stock-piles of the re-issued and sposedly exclusive to Best Buy former oop Fox SE dvds.
Independence Day
The Sound Of Music
The Abyss
Planet Of The Apes
and... Cast Away
On the back of the Cast Away packaging at the bottom, where they have the diagram of what audio is in the movie, aspect ratio, etc...
The diagram clearly states that it contains dts sound with a little 5.1 diagram. And, where all the symbols are like the region 1 symbol, dolby digital symbol, etc..., there is a dts symbol, NOT a dts-es symbol.
My oop SE 2-disk Cast Away says it has dts-es. However, on my set it doesn't have a symbol for dts or dts-es. In the discription of bonus features is says dts-es.
Hmmmm...

I'm sure they just left off the "ES" for whatever reason (does it confuse J6P?). I cannot see them going through the technical efforts (and costs) of dropping it when they can just keep printing the original.
