I think a lot of you are missing the larger point that this is a crappy movie.

There are about 30 movies in my collection that are ready to be moved out, it's funny that you chose 2 that I'm keeping.

hmmmm ... three-breasted alien woman, or Eddie Izzard playing an entirely serious role with no jokes at all in a movie which is supposed to be a comedy...

I love Eddie Izzard, I saw 'Mystery Men' for Eddie Izzard more than any other single reason, but I would not think that he is good justification for owning the movie, because he does *nothing* in it.

At least 'The Avengers' has him with Sean Connery...

I think Artisan was stupid to wait on this. If they wanted to cash in, they should have just whipped together a disc ASAP to get it out before the election. I realize it is still on people's minds, but it would be so much more relavent before the RECALL. Since it is a total BS repackage, I'm not sure what was stopping them. I never got around to getting the current release, so I might be picking up this new one if it ever actually surfaces and if it isn't significantly more expensive than the already cheap version currently available.

You're entirely 100% certifiably right. So much so that for years, YEARS!, I had no idea that character was even played by Eddie Izzard.

I hold on to Mystery Men for a myriad other reasons, among which I can now add "pisses off DVD geeks"

It's a no-buy for me. I was one of the few that liked the tin case and how many extras do I need for this flick? The extra gore scenes would be neat, but not worth a new disc.

And what's wrong with Mystery Men? It's one of my guilty pleasures.

Even less, I have no problem with my $10.00 at Target version!

It is SE, and has a bunch of stuff, and I have yet to watch it.
