Would you still hang on to your VHS if the DVD is shorter than the VHS?

Would you still hang on to your VHS if the DVD is shorter than the VHS?
I know many of us (like me) is getting rid of their VHS collection. However, seems like there are several movies where the VHS edition is superior (content wise, not picture) then the DVD counterpart.
So my question is, would you still keep the VHS version? Or still toss is? I would still not bother with vHS for the quality of VHS is so lame when compared with DVD so i personally dont care if it's cut. But some do.
Here is the list I gathered of movies where the VHS edition is longer (sexier?).
BLOWN AWAY
GIA
JADE
UNDERCOVER
SEXUAL MALICE
WAXWORK
anymore you can add to the list?

I held off on buying the original DVD for Pulp Fiction because my VHS copy had 2 deleted scenes on it, which the DVD didn't have. My waiting paid off when the SE came out.
I'm sure many people will be holding onto their VHS copies of the Star Wars Original Trilogy if only the SE's come out to DVD.
Other than that, I don't have too many VHS movies that I haven't upgraded yet.
A Christmas Story (Will upgrade on 10/7)
Batman (Waiting for the eventual SE)
Fletch Lives (Will upgrade on 9/2)
The Jerk (Current DVD is no better than my VHS)
KISS: The Second Coming (No real interest to upgrade)

The only VHS I kept from over 300 tapes was a copy of Dragnet that Alexandra Paul autographed for me and a documentary series on Abraham Lincoln, which was a little seen companion piece to Civil War.

I'm holding on to my 146min. "bootleg" cut of Dawn of the Dead on VHS. Video quality is terrible, but every so often I like to watch it.
But from a video quality POV, it is painful to watch in comparison to my Anchor Bay US Theatrical Cut disc.

I'm keeping all of my VHS tapes that are diffrent from the DVD.
Most are boxed up and stored, but who knows... There are folks out there who look for LPs and 8-tracks of their favorite artists, so who knows...they may be a collectors "Holy Grail" some day... And I'll part with them then. As long as they are boxed and out of the way, it's not a big deal to hold on to them.

I've gotten rid of all my VHS that I was able to get on DVD. I nolonger have a VHS player and don't look at the ones I have. I don't really care if the DVD is a different version. I do however have Star Wars on a VCD format and several others. I rather have a VCD than VHS.

VHS Have Limited Shelf Life
The main gotcha here is that the VHS tapes will deteriorate over time whether you play them or not. The metal oxide eventually separates from the base tape and flakes off (so I hear). Magnetic charges can also lose their "oomph" and the signal becomes weaker. As a result video drop-outs and audio problems can become significant.
They have a limited shelf life according to which expert you believe but most think that 25 years is about it.
So that prized tape may no longer play very well in the future (if at all). At that point its resale value has got to be nil.
If you have a PC with a DVD burner, there are products like Dazzle Fusion that purport to allow you to transfer your VHS to DVD. Haven't tried it myself but might be an excellent way to preserve priceless family VHS camcorder recordings or that special theatrical tape.
Now how long will a DVD last? I don't think anyone knows for certain. The technology is still relatively new compared to VHS. But at least the shelf clock starts over again.
So as long as my VHS tape has a DVD equivalent (or close to it), it's history!

I am hanging on to my VHS copy of "Touch of Evil" as it contains the original theatrical release that is not available on the DVD. That's also the reason I am holding on to all my VHS editions of "Blade Runner", but maybe the long discussed Blade Runner special edition will include all three versions.

Id rather stare at a Vhs of the unrated Nicole than a DVD of a edited Nicole (besides its Artisan DVD, so the quality can't be any better)
Many complain about the OAR as directors intention, well some of these, the unrated cut is the directors cut, so just because the DVD is an R cut not approved by the director, doesn't mean it's the better version, thats when I keep the Vhs (or as some pointed out, the LD edition, which I do have of BLOWN AWAY)

I'm getting rid of my dvd copy of Last of the Mohicans. I much prefer the VHS to the Director's Cut dvd, because the scenes they added just made the movie longer (but not better) AND they changed the music to it. No Clannad in the Director's cut, just more of the score.

I can't tolerate VHS anymore. Gave all my tapes away and boxed up my VCR.
If it ain't complete on DVD, I just won't buy it and will hold out until they release the 'proper' version. I can wait - got plenty of other movies to watch
