since Hulk (TV) is coming, how about a Amazing Spider-Man Box
Since universal is releasing a big ol' box of The Incredible Hulk onto DVD, that got me to thinking. Hulk was a sotra-flop at the Box-Office, but Spider-Man was a huge hit, so wouldn't it make sense for Columbia to release a box set of all 14 episodes of the short lived Live Action Amazing Spider-Man TV series from the 70's? I enjoyed that show as well & they would only have to do one release since the production run was so short.
For anyone who doesn't remember or know this show here is a link to an episode guide http://www.epguides.com/AmazingSpiderMan/ |
Yeah, I loved these as a kid. I was hoping they'd show up when the movie came out but nothing. I didn't even see them on tv anywhere.
I'd love to check these out again. Really cheesy, good fun. I still remember the theme song for that. Nicholas Hammond was great. Here's hoping somebody releases them. |

Flop = nobody went to see it
People did go see Hulk. Millions of people. Profit margins are a whole other discussion |
Flop = lost money.
There is no movie that NOBODY went to see. |
I know it was lame, but I would pony up for a box set of the Spidey TV show.
