Won't it have Ang Lee commentary? I believe I saw that listed on one of the posted menus the other day. . .maybe I was dreaming things up.

Thanks, looking good.

Rogue588 07-30-03 01:26 PM

hopefully this'll be available for $10 like Daredevil..

which was the ONLY reason I picked it up.

...damn addiction...

This will be the first of the "new" Marvel movies I'm NOT buying.. Alas. I'll rent it to check out the supplements but I was so underwhelmed by the actual movie that buying it is a waste even if you're "addicted." And I'm one of the people who even liked "Daredevil!" :D

Well said Sierra Disc. The only thing green and mad at the end of this movie was me! I have loved all previous efforts for Marvel films, but The Hulk just plain sucked!! There was such potential there, but it fell flat and 45 minutes too long. Ang Lee was a horrible choice to direct it. He should stick with his Crouching Tiger act and leave comic book films to other directors.

Boo!!! Hiss!!! The Hulk gets two very big thumbs down.

fumanstan 07-30-03 02:45 PM

I'm getting it :) I saw it in theaters and while i was a bit dissapointed, i think i'll enjoy it quite a bit more on DVD.

Jackskeleton 07-30-03 02:48 PM

If it had an option to remove all the over used pointless dissolves/wipes I might consider it at a cheap price. but otherwise.. hell no. :p

matome 07-30-03 05:20 PM

I'll pick it up on a $10 deal only, to give it another shot.

Iron_Giant 07-30-03 05:50 PM

Hmmm, this would be a great movie to show on my garage on Trick or Treat night. We showed HP and Monsters Inc last year.

People would stop and watch the movie throughout the night - lots of fun.

chente 07-30-03 06:50 PM

I liked the film and will definitely get this.

jiggawhat 07-30-03 08:15 PM

I thought this movie was great. I really liked the comic book style of the movie. I think people are not used to it hence the reason for disliking it. I do believe if they make another hulk that it will have a lot more action than the first. Still a great movie in my book. I will definitely buy this.

jasonbird 07-30-03 08:48 PM

Ang Lee Comentary and deleted scenes too.

I will have this one on release day.

Crouching Tiger's world is basically from the chinese comic books/folk lore, afterall, where do you see people with superhuman abilities?

When I go to the theater, I'm going to see a movie, not read a comic book. What did the multiple screens and stuff add to the movie? Nothing I could really see, I know he was trying to make it feel like a comic book but I think that was obvious if you knew The Hulk. It was purely a gimmick.

DavidH 07-30-03 09:09 PM

I thought Hulk was pretty good - much better than Daredevil - not as good as Spider-Man as far as the recent Marvel comic movies. Still, not sure if I will buy it. Maybe I'll just wait for a Columbia House enrollment for $7.00

Rogue588 07-31-03 01:55 AM

Let me say this though...

I would rather sit through FOUR hours of Ang's swipes/dissolves, than I would an hour 43 minutes of Johnson's diagonal camera angles...

I too am awaiting this DVD. Can't wait to watch this again.

baap 07-31-03 11:33 AM

I am one of those people who really like this movie. I will definitely be getting the DVD.

My 2 cents on the movie: I had never seen the shows or the previous movies and I was not expecting a big action movie coz I knew Ang Lee probably wouldn't do that. I really liked the style and the characters of the movie.

That case doesn't look right, considering it doesn't have the standard Univeral bar saying Widescreen at the top or bottom, and that it's supposed to be a Collector's Edition :(

jasonbird 07-31-03 06:14 PM

Don't know if these menu shots have been posted yet or not:

The fine folks over at Dvd Answers.com have posted the menu
shots for the Hulk Dvd...

Check them out HERE.

Love the menu shots, hate the box (and the movie as well).
