I'd say that the current release is practically perfect. A great transfer, good sound for a comedy, and an informative commentary. A documentary and some deleted scenes would be nice, but probably won't happen.
P.S. Mia Sara is even hotter now that she's grown up

Yes, I'd love the trailer, a good documentary, deleted scenes, etc. Would love to hear the cast talk about the film.
But, this IS Paramount, so we can pretty much forget it, even as popular a film as it is.
Fortunately, as others have mentioned, the video and audio quality is grade-A. And if Universal is re-releasing their Hughes films without any extras, I don't hold much hope for the King of Barebones to one-up them.

Frankly, Ferris Bueller has gotten better treatment than the other John Hughes titles like Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Some Kind Of Wonderful, etc.

The current disc looks *pretty good*. Not great.
The commentary is wonderful, though.
And it's anamorphic widescreen.
There's not even a rumour of a new version, so for ten bucks you can't beat it.

When I saw her name attached to that Birds of Prey show, I was convinced they made a mistake and cut her from the show. It was only later that I matched the name to the face.

that's not simone, that's not simone, that's not simone, say it again, that's not simone, that's not....
*sigh*
The bags under her eyes got bags under their eyes, and the crow's feet got squishy toes.
On the other hand... groiny?

I recently just picked this up for $10, too. Based on this thread: http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...ferris+bueller I was wondering if there would someday be a rerelease.
btw, time can be so cruel
