Nine out of ten "narcoterrorists" prefer fullscreen DVDs.
You... don't want to support narcoterrorists.... do you? |
Originally posted by VincentVega No I don't even if its matted. Most of the time the director has the AR in mind when shooting the film and the unmatted presentations have unnecessary space on the top and bottom, BTTF for example. Some matted movies also have mistakes that are not present in the matted versions such as a scene in Dogma when Matt Damon accidently slices off the head of a voodoo doll. I perfer intended aspect ratio. |
Re: Buy certin movies in fullscreen?
Originally posted by ctyler The fast and the Furious is one my favorite movies so I bought the tricked out edition in fullscreen. Now I usually buy in widescreen but I just had to for this one, with all the action I just wanted it to be larger than life. Anyone do the same? That's some stupid s%it right there. |
Fullscreen DVDs push impressionable young boys down a questionable one-way road, leading to self-gratification of a most impure manner.

So we're five pages into this thread started by ctyler and he has not made another post since then. Just five pages of people bitching about full screen. I think ctyler just threw some blood in the water to watch and be amused by the feeding frenzy. So to him, I give a , way to manipulate the masses!

These periodic threads are fun. Some poor schlub makes a "wrong" comment and it's time for everyone to line up and engage in a Maoist self-criticism session. We get multiple pages of repetitive posts repeating the same thing, that every serious person here concedes is true, at least in broad strokes: that the OAR is better.
Woe to anyone, however, who even thinks about raising a peripheral or ancillary (or semi-serious) question about this, because it's Off To The Races again. The horse is dead, folks. Let it be. |
Universal Studio executives who were contemplating total market saturation of FULLSCREEN DVDs ran over my aunt.
