Dawson's Creek Season 2?
 

Does anyone know IF or when this will be released?

I know Columbia are very secretive about future releases, but I was wondering whether or not anyone has heard anything?

Any info would be much appreciated.

Does anyoe have a link to the Columbia TV shows on DVD website?

Thought I'd answer my own post with something I found over at tvshowsondvd.com:

Christian Malta sent us some news about seson two of Dawson's Creek. This is taken from "Q&A with Paul Stupin" on the official site.

BIGGESTFAN: I am wondering if you will have the 2-6 seasons on dvd ? I ordered the 1st seaons off of Amazon.com.... When could we the fans expect the others to come out?

PAUL: We're really glad that it seems like a lot of fans are enjoying the Season One DVD. And since I've gotten a lot of questions about other seasons, I can tell you that we are working on the Season Two DVD, but it's still early, so unfortunately I don't have a lot of information about it just yet. What I can tell you is that we're working on some really cool features, notably (hopefully) the inclusion of the original Pilot presentation of the show. So stay tuned, because I'll make a more detailed announcement about this soon!

You know, I find that really interesting. There is a similar situation with Felicity Season 2. In both instances it appears as though they are putting the original pilot on season 2 to bump sales.

With this I find a dilema. I liked both shows a lot, however, in both cases I was upset with the way they ended. I already have Felicity Season 1 (though I haven't opened it and am pissed they changed music in servral scense throughout the season), but I don't really plan on getting any of Dawson's Creek.

As a result, I think many fans of both shows are left with a quandry - do I buy season 2 just becuase it has a really great extra?

Smart marketing, and not some cheap "re-issue seaosn 1 with the pilot in 3 years" gimmick.

Just a note of interest...They are releasing the Season Finale of Dawson's Creek sometime this year
