BOO to Matrix Reloaded DVD!!!
What udder crap! I love the movie, but I'm wating for the super dee dooper box set. or at least something better than this.
Fullscreen editions both with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio and feature: wow, 5.1, yippie doo. This movie DEMANDS DTS 'Preload' – Get a behind the scenes overview of The Matrix Reloaded with on-location footage and interviews with cast and crew, ' Maybe this will be ok. Perhaps it will be a 15 minute HBO first look. I have a feeling it will be major ass kissing all around. The Freeway Chase' – a 30 minute behind the scenes feature showing the making of this amazing chase scene, ' THis I"m looking foward to. NIce length. Should be cool. What is The Animatrix?' A glimpse into the history and the intrigue of the Animatrix, ' CRAP! Did the documentary on the Animatrix dvd not satisfy people? How about some features for the actual movie we just spent money on, instead of something totally different. Enter The Matrix - a making of the video game and the groundbreaking technology used to create it, CRAP! The game was pretty good, but groundbreaking it aint. Unless they mean groundbreaking crappiness of how bad driving levels in games can be. 'The Matrix Unfolds' – A review of The Matrix phenomenon and its amazing cultural impact, amazing cultural impact? I smell ass kissing. This could be one of those "so bad its funny things". 2003 MTV Movie Awards Matrix Reloaded parody 'Get Me An Exit' and more! Funny, but more of an easter egg. sooo........thats it? ESSSSSSSSSH. Perhaps those are just the specs for disk one...ah well, we can always dream. Come on WB get it together |
some impressive writing.....welcome!...
.....rather intelligent..... |
I agree, it's a bit annoying to have thinly veiled ads listed as "features" on the DVD, but what the hell, I buy for the movie anyways.
DTS would have been nice, but I don't expect that anymore either. DTS 96/24 would be even better, but you need a fullbitrate track, et al... |
Awwwwww
Guess you should just wait for the boxed set and hope it is more your type of extras. Even if I am making fun of the orginal poster I would imagine a boxed set having more extras. But I'll by this DVD asap. It's good enough for now and if nothing better comes out later I'll live. |
No director's commentary!?!
Larry: [grunt] Andy: Uh, yeah. Larry: Huh. Andy: Mmm. |
The features mentioned at least sound like they have more substance and plot than the actual feature.
The game was pretty good?! rotfl Oh man.. that's solid entertrainment there. |

I think it looks like a pretty solid release. Who knows, maybe those features will be long ones, since they are on a second disc.
As for the DD 5.1, well, you know we are talking about WB, so they (almost) never release DTS tracks, except for Interview w/a Vampire. But at the theatre I seen MR at, had a good ass-kicking sound track, with plenty of bass. I think this is plenty of special features for MR;personally, I rather have WB make an excellent discs for T3 and Matrix Revolutions. |
[In horrid voice of hideous woman] Booooooo! Booooooo! Boooooooo! And that's what it is, Refuse. So bow down if you want. Bow to it. Bow to the Slime, the Filth, the Putrescence! Boo! Boo! Rubbish! Filth! Slime! Muck! Boo! Boo! Boo! [End horrid voice of hideous woman]

:p |

bboisvert, man I so much did not need to see that. :p
|
Is it time to write in to WB to complain about the DVD spec?
|
I would like to see some deleted sceens.
As long as the Video and Sound quality is Demo quality, I will be happy. If they put out another DVD later, I will not buy it. If we stop buying these Extra Specail SE version of the DVD, they will quite doubling dipping us. |
Good luck on that. if you stop buying the original, chances are they will think you have little interest in the film, and thus wont even bother making a special edition of it.
|
i think wb is waiting for matrix revolutions to release all the good stuff. see, they're releasing the car chase behind the scenes, but nothing on the action or the special effects. Since these "films" were shot together, they probably didn't want to spoil anything in the next movie and are gonna put it in the revolutions disc. i really wished they had it one disc snapper for uniformity's sake. thats a one disc dvd there, not two.
|
I wouldn't expect DTS on anything WB puts out.
Prime example is Harry Potter, DD 5.1 EX |

When Spy Kids came out on DVD, there were rumors that an SE was going to come out about 6 months later. Well I bought the DVD becuase my whole family really enjoyed the movie and I thought I will 6 months of enjoyment while other wait of the the SE. The SE never came out and I still have the same SK DVD. I bought T2 used ($9) at BB and have been watching it for about 3 years, I have yet to upgrade. If I buy a HDTV in the next 5 months, then I might buy the T2 Extreme Edition, only because it has the best Video quality out of the 3 T2 that have been released. I do have a PC that can run the "HD" DVD that comes with T2 ED and it would be nice T2 in all of it's glory. |
