All kinds of TV show coming to DVD!

Yeah - the criitc got its own thread, but how about all these other shows mentioned by USA Today as coming soon to DVD:

* General Hospital
* All My Children
* Northern Exposure
* The Critic
* King Of Queens
* Barney Miller

So good news for some, and a handful of very solid titles.

dvdisoil 07-16-03 05:10 PM

still no news on Twin Peaks season II :(

JJE-187 07-16-03 05:15 PM

I wonder how General Hospital & All My Children will be handled? They don't have seasons & they have been on the air for 30+ years, with over 300+ shows a year @ 45 mins per episode. That's alot of disc

Rogue588 07-16-03 05:33 PM

General Hospital :hscratch:

Definitely a "best of" compilation..

hgar78 07-16-03 05:43 PM

the critic and king of queens!!! :thumbsup:

sracer 07-16-03 05:53 PM

If they produced a boxset of General Hospital that focused on the "Ice Princess" storyline of 1980-81 (or there abouts) I'd be interested.

Got the opening Bass Line from Barney Miller playing in my head! This could be cool!

"mooshy mooshy..."

I thought there was some kind of huge music licensing issue with Northern Exposure which prevented them from releasing the DVDs. I'll only buy the first three seasons anyway, but I hope they aren't way overpriced because of this.

If the current regime running the show now is in charge of this, don't hold your breath.

They've pissed all over the characters of Luke & Laura. [And not in Mature Forum kinda way either...]

Barney Miller is a show I've been waiting for! Good news!

Corleone316 07-17-03 12:44 AM

Is the Cosby Show or Three's Company ever gonna come out on DVD?

Static Cling 07-17-03 02:36 AM

Let's not make this into another "Is ______________ going to come out on DVD ever?" thread.

TOLEN 07-17-03 09:21 AM

Corleone316,

Dave at tvshowsondvd.com made a cryptic response about a possible Three's Company release coming to dvd at the HTF. Sounds like it is coming, but he couldn't say anything.

mikenyc 07-17-03 09:57 AM

I think it's a little toooooo soon, for me, for "King of Queens. It's just going into syndication.

Anytime is nice for Barney Miller !

Jonny2k1 07-17-03 10:02 AM

I really want the Wonder Years on DVD, that would be the awesomest!

Geofferson 07-17-03 10:48 AM

PHMustang2000 07-17-03 12:18 PM

Still No ROSWELL!!!

Walter Neff 07-17-03 12:22 PM

How many seasons of "Barney Miller" were there? Just wondering if this could possibly be one box set?

It ran for 8 seasons. The first season only had 13 episodes though.

That 70s Show could be problematic because of the music issues.
